Had an issue with a rude front desk clerk. My room rates were much higher than what I was told on the phone when I called and booked the rooms. They had also added a fifty dollar insurance fee to each room that I was not aware of at the time that I booked my rooms. The front desk clerk was not very helpful when she called me to tell me that my visa had been declined. It was declined because of their mistake and she made it out like it was my fault. Each of our rooms ended up being around sixty dollars more than what they were suppose to be. Then a few minutes later I get another call telling me that she talked to the manager and the rates were wrong and the rates that I was given on the phone when I booked the rooms were correct and they would remove the insurance fees since I was not aware of them at the time that I booked the room. But she made sure to tell me that they were not suppose to do that but they would do it this time. Like she was doing me a favor or something! Needless to say I will not be staying at that hotel the next time that i am in syracuse!

Very nice staff and clean hotel. The elevator was a bit funky. A very nice place..usually stay next door at the old Marx.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time and was very impressed with the room for the price. I've stayed at other budget hotels in Syracuse and this is by far the best. Super close to the university and a short ride to bars/clubs. The room was spacious and clean. The television is pathetic but we weren't there to watch the tube. Parking is free. Staff was alright except the night guy who knows nothing about the city. I will stay here again next year. Go Orange

Lovely old small hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom was spotless with gleaming tiles. The elevator is teensy, as is the flat screen TV mounted high on the wall. The double showerhead was a pleasant surprise. The beds were very comfy, but only doubles; the room was spacious enough for queens, which would make them even more comfy when sharing. Plenty of well-lighted free parking in the rear of the building. I would definitely stay there again.

This was the first time staying here. It was a nice hotel and located just within minutes to the university, which was the purpose of my trip to Syracuse. The staff was polite and helpful during the check in/out process. There is a nice cafe/wine bar convienently located downstairs. The tv was small and the bathroom sink is tucked away in a corner, but its nothing terrible. Parking is in the back and proper for small vehicles. It was a good experience. i would stay there again if the price would come down a bit.

The room alone beckoned us to stay in there all day. It was open, comfortable with the largest bathroom. The staff were friendly, competent, timely, accomodating and courteous.

Very friendly staff. Easy access to highway. I can hear highway traffic from my room. The hotel have very friendly staff. Easy access to highway. The room is spacious. You can hear the noise from highway traffic and the garbage pick up truck early in the morning.

The hotel was quiet and decorated nicely. The room only had one chair with no sitting area for their guests. Very nice hotel but was not located in an area where there were nice restaurants or shopping available without searching.

Comfortable queen-size bed. Room very clean. TV is mounted too high on wall, small screen, very difficult to watch from bed. No sitting chairs except at desk.
