Clean room, fitness room, pools available at no extra charge. Noisy neighbors. Overall, the hotel is perfect for someone staying out of downtown Reno and near the airport. Good food and shopping is a short drive. It was extremely busy around the holidays. I have always been given a good room.

My stay at the Peppermill was quite enjoyable and I was impressed overall with the Hotel/Casino. The room was quite large, comfortable and very clean. Check-in was reasonably smooth considering the number of people arriving. My wife and I stay in Reno about 10 days a year, and I consider this to be out new destination hotel.

I was very pleased with the friendly staff and clean facilities a the Peppermill Resort. The front desk staff were friendly, the concierge and valet were also helpful in directing me to the right parking area. The Pool was wonderful, and my room was opulent, clean and modern. There was a great flat screen TV, wonderful bathroom decor and very comfortable beds!

The Peppermill Hotel and Casino was very comfortable and an overall fun place to stay. The Peppermill had a huge variety of different restaurants that served delicious food. The stay would of been more enjoyable if the construction was complete. A good portion of the establishment was closed due to upgrading. Once the construction is complete (Fall/Winter 2008), the Peppermill will be a must stay.

The hotel will be beautiful when the construction is finished. You must request a room that does not face the service court which is noisy due to construction during the day and also throughout the night because service trucks go in there in the wee hours and hotel trash is dumped at any hour. My room was incredibly noisy. I had called ahead to request a room off of this court. However, it was given away before I arrived due to a convention. Rooms do not have mini fridges nor coffee makers. They do provide a stocked mini bar and snacks.

My husband and I had one room, our son and his girlfriend occupied another. Our room was pretty clean ~ no complaints, but when my son & his girlfriend went to their room at 10:30pm the bed sheets were dirty, there was a mound of hair in the shower, etc. My son asked the front desk for another room but was told they were sold out. They ended up waiting until midnight for housekeeping to arrive. The 'dirt' left by the previous occupants grossed them out, and it was an inconvenience that my son and his gf had to wait to have their room clean before they could go to sleep.

Newly Remodeled...Still in the process of remodeling... The Peppermill Hotel and Casino provided a pleasant accomodation in our overnight stay in Reno. The room was newly remodeled with nicely appointed furniture, marble floors, granite counters, flat screen TV and upgraded bedding. The room was a comfortable size. We enjoyed the friendly casino and the many options of restaurants it especially the barbeque restaurant. If you are flying to this area it is close to the airport. We were meeting friends there and traveling the next day to Lake Tahoe. It made a great gathering spot. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed there on our way home. I recommend this accomodation.

The facility was very clean and comfortable. The dining was very good and a very good value. Since we stayed there for the Reno air races, the staff was not very well informed about transportation to and from the races. Trying to purchase bus tickets was a hassle, since they ran out of the single day passes and did not have any recommendations on how to resolve the situation. Maybe it would have been better, if we had participated in their VIP offering.

The room was average even for an upgrade from the basic room offered. I requested a ?smoke-free? room but the room reeked of cigarette smoke and actually worsened as the night went on. Both my wife and I woke up in the middle of the night with stuffed up sinuses and the lingering smell of cigarette smoke. On checkout we brought it to the attention of the clerk but was given the excuse the smoke was probably being drawn in (heating vent) from one of the higher floors ? I didn?t get the impression the issues would be taken serious. I will more than likely not stay at this particular hole in the future.

I liked that even if you are to get a standard room like the montego bay it still is luxury! The only thing I did not like about the hotel is the swimming pools and Jacuzzis close at 10:00 pm. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff were really friendly and helpful. And it felt like being in Paradise.

Staff very friendly and acommodating. We had a room in an older wing. It was clean and beds confortable, however, no safe or coffee maker in room. The coffee shop meal was below average and we ended up leaving the hotel to eat other meals. Pool area is open but still under construction with lots of workers around and above pool area. Construction noise also outside our room window. Don't think I would stay there again.

The price was right to be able to stay in a casino...... After I carried my luggage into the hotel for check in I was told I would have to drive to my hotel wing. It was a separate building away from the hotel lobby, casino and food. When I opened my hotel drapes there were construction workers 2 ft. from my window. The only view I had was of a huge tractor ! The lobby check in clerk was very rude and not helpful when I asked exactly how to get to my hotel. This was my first trip there and my last. They really know how to make you feel like cattle.

Our stay at the Peppermill in September was a very pleasant esperience. We use the Peppermill as our Center when we visit Reno as it is very conveniently located and easily accessible to the Points of Interest we like to visit...Carson City, Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, plus Truckee and Nevada City, CA. The rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. The food is good and there are additional restaurants and shopping nearby. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Other pluses for the Peppermill is it is located near the airport and provides a shuttle service. There is ample parking if you arrive by car. City bus service is also available.

We stayed at the Peppermill in Reno Sun nite, Feb 15, 2009. It was a busy holiday weekend and we had to wait in line to check in maybe 20 minutes. When we got to the registration desk it turned out they did not have the room we signed up for available, (we had reserved he cheapest room they had in the Montega Bay Tower) so they upgraded us to a really very nice room, much nicer than we expected. The 42" wall-mounted TV worked well and the everything worked well in the large bathroom. We did some cross country skiing at Northstar and had a wonderful Indian meal at Indian Kebab a few blocks north of the Peppermill on Virginia Street. We recommend the Peppermill, Northstar and the Indian Kebab. We wanted to play roulette on our last morning there, but the Roulette table didn't open til 10:00am and there were snowstorms expected on I-80 over Donner Pass back to the San Francisco bay area, so we couldn't wait for the tables to open. All in all, we had a great time at the Peppermill.

The Peppermill was a very visually stimulating environment with bright colors and lots of neon. However, when you get to your room, it is soothing, spacious and comfortable. We were delighted with the Steak House cuisine and wait staff. The only disappointment was that one lamp in the room was broken and my companion's room was a good walk from mine.

The room was supurb even though in the older wing. The amenitiers and restaurants are above par. The sour note was the food and beverage staff are particularly disinterested in serving and seem to prefer time idly chatting with other duty staff or off duty staff/staff from other establishments and it takes a great deal of gentle persuation to have them serve you. Room service trays remain uncollected for up to 24 hours. Check in staff were excellent.

I rated three stars because this was an average hotel. I wasn't expecting anything over the top (I was looking for a decent, low price), but the resort fee leaves you feeling a little ripped off. I booked a Montego Bay Wing Room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel website states that the wing rooms are newly remodeled. The room that I had makes me think otherwise. The room wasn't bad at all, but maybe the remodeling was reserved for more expensive suites. The large t.v. looked nice on the wall, but I don't watch t.v., so it didn't serve any purpose. My main concern was having internet access. Although the hotel boasts wireless access (and includes it in the resort fee), the hotel/staff fails to mention that the rooms aren't actually equipped for wireless internet. I found out after calling the front desk. I was told that guests could try logging into the wireless network for the convention center, which is nearby. If you can't get a strong enough signal, you're pretty much out of luck for wireless internet. However, the rooms are conveniently equipped with a short ethernet cable for internet access that costs an additional $11.99/day. Enjoy. About half-way through my stay, I returned to the room to find water running down the doorway of the bathroom. A few minutes after that, water started to flow from the ceiling tiles outside of the door to the actual hotel room. I notified the front desk and was quickly moved to another room. Instead of getting another Montego Bay Wing Room, I was moved to a room in Peppermill Tower. Although the hotel website speaks of the rooms separately, I still don't know what the difference is. The room was right up the hall and it looked exactly the same on the inside. Again, the "panoramic" views mentioned on the website must be reserved for the more expensive suites because the only view that I had was "wall of some part of the Peppermill". I kept the curtains closed because I couldn't tell if people could actually see i

We decided to take a last minute trip to Reno when my husband got an unexpected bonus. We chose a spa suite at the Peppermill and rushed up Friday after work. I had read some reviews where they said that their rooms had been given away so I made sure to call and confirm the reservation and advise of our late arrival. When we got there, [...] at the counter took quite awhile on the computer after we gave her our name. She called what appeared to be a manager over and i prepared myself to box! They still didnt say anything and pointed to different things on the screen, shaking their heads no and asking, "how long are you staying-2 nights?" I began to wrap my long nails on the counter to show my growing irratation at having to drive for over 4+ hours, only to be held up at check-in. They finally both shook their heads in agreement, gave us our cards and said your room is on the second floor, room 269. We went to the 2nd floor, went to the rooms and they were totally the wrong room numbers. One of the guys standing there tried to help after we had gone in a circle about three times! He didnt know where that room # was either. We finally went the other direction even though the signs clearly said Wedding Chapels this way. Under one of the signs we saw in samll letters underneith Wedding Chapels, '& room numbers 263-269'! I was a bit confused but was just happy to have found the correct room number. We opened up the door and were immediatley bowled over by the most beautiful suite of rooms that we had ever seen! They had upgraded us from a spa suite to a full on Bridal Suite! We're talking living room with a full bar, 3 plasma tv's, 2 bathrooms, canopied bed with chaise lounge and hottub! We won money right away at the slots in the Peppermill Casino and played and partied with the winnings all weekend long. I cannot wait to go back, maybe we'll bring the kids but this sure made up for the honeymoon that we never had. We're thinking about going back up to renew our vows nex

Arrived at the hotel and spent 20 minutes trying to find the hotel check in even after talking to 3 people. Once there, there were only 2 people checking people in. Once I got to the desk to check in, everything went smoothly until I asked how to get there and where I could park to be closest. They told me to stay were I was parked since it was best. WRONG! After the trek to the hotel room including 2 elevator trips, a skywalk crossing, and crossing a construction zone we finally arrived to the room. Once we figured out where we were, I was able to park the car right next to the building (100 feet away) and was able to use the North entrance to the building (which a sign in that building said you cant). It was nice, but not worth it.

Eye candy! This place is awesome! Every employee wants to help. If you ask questions, they help you with a smile. If you ask directions, they even walk you over to find what you're looking for. The rooms are great, and affordable; good value. I do wish they had refrigerators in the rooms again for the wonderful goodies we take out of the restaurants. Delicious desserts we were too full to eat... should have a place to stay cool. An otherwise perfect stay.

It was a trip with my spouse, young children and my siblings & their families. Everyone were impressed with the hotel. Inability to check out on TV. Took forever to get a hold of the front desk. Pool open year round but not warm enough for the weather. Excellent accommodations, very comfortable bed, flat screen TV, enjoyed the one of a kind collection of undersea movie, very friendly staff, delicious buffet.

The hotel is undergoing extension and the location where we stayed was hard to get to from the front desk. The hotel could have done a better job to keep certain exits opened to provide more convenience.

Not that one should expect something different, but the hotel and access was to the room was very typical of any casino. Parking in the garage led to the typical up/down maze to get to your room. Was disappointed after hearing and reading so much about the improvements though the remodeling that I saw littel to none of it in my two nights there. Actually requested a room that was in this area and was given a room in the old portion that was 80's style contemporary.

The Peppermill Hotel Casino was an enjoyable experience. My intention was to be close to the airport for an early morning flight but found myself shopping, playing the machines and having a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room provided everything I needed and I really liked the fragrance and quality of the toiletry products.

You can only receive the discount coupons mentioned with booking if you sign up for a Players card. It is not a booklet you receive at check-in, you have to wait in line at the Information booth. On weekends there is no buffet breakfast, just a 19.99 brunch at 9 am. Go to the Coffee Shop for a 10 dollar breakfast instead. Nice room with white down comforters - no dark bedspreads that try to hide the funk!
