i stayed there the night before a cruise. It was a big mistake. It's not a case of unmet expectations, it was disgusting. Staff initially seemed friendly. Common areas appear ok. Front of hotel is unkempt. I was taken to a room which was large, but with paint peeling. Furniture was decrepit 1960's Puerto Rican Velor. Bed Coverings were dusty and dirty. There were no curtains, just a broken shade. "kitchen" had no faucet, but a hose rigged through the sink. I was beside myself, but they had no other rooms. To plug in my iphone, I went behind the desk, and there were just layers of dust and an old deodorent can which had not been picked up. Paint peeling. Bathroom was acceptable, but had low water pressure. Creepy, gross, dirty. This is not a case of unmet expectations. I asked for a cab to the port the next morning. Staff pulled up a car and were going to charge me $22 and told me cab was going to cost $26. I insisted on a cab and he charged me $16.
