I am a Hilton Honors member and thought it would be fun to stay at the Tapatio Cliffs while on vacation in Phoenix. The property is lovely and nestled in the hills of North Phoenix. Upon arrival, the valet looked harried. The well-appointed lobby was chaotic as flip-flopped families roved in and out. We had a nice check-in and that's where the fun began. As we drove up to our hotel suite on the hill we noticed no parking anywhere. When we got to our suite, the 4 spots in front were all taken. We drove around with about 10 other cars throughout the property looking for parking, to no avail, finally finding one a 10 minute walk away. As it was July in Phoenix, that walk with our bags was not pleasent. The room was nice, the pool was good, the view were nice, but I would definitely not recommend this hotel, which is unfortunate as I love Hiltons. Unless you like fighting for parking or day hikes to your room, give this one a pass.

Location, comfort, amenities. Couple plumbing issues. Great family hotel. Plenty of space, great activities area (pool, slide, activities, etc). Room was just outside one of the smaller pools, which was great as we often had it to our own.

"We stayed for three days. The hotel was great. It must have been a down time because crowds were minimal. Rooms were awesome-loved the separate TV/sitting area from the bedroom. Kids loved the different pools. Staff was very nice, and, as a matter of fact, most of the people/residents of Phoenix were wonderful. We look forward to our next visit."

The view overlooking the pools were beautiful. This hotel is a beautiful surprise tucked in the mountain. The different elevations and waterfalls add beautiful scenery. The courtyard views overlooking the pools were lovely. This is the perfect atmosphere for couples! Would definitely stay again.

Great suite for a reasonable price. Nothing! Great value for the money, a 5 star resort at a 3 star price. Spacious and luxurious suites, great facilities including multiple pools and a real exercise center. Outstanding restaurants.

"The Hilton staff (valet, concierge, bell men, front desk, room service, spa, pool people) all polite and couldn't do enough. Room was not at quality I thought would be for suite- Sofa uncomfortable, air-conditioner by one bed blew down onto it, and ceiling cracked over bathtub. Housekeeping could not seem to clean mirror in bedroom or vacuum well. Food at Pointe in Thyme excellent along with waitresses. Spa wonderful! Surroundings beautiful."

Large rooms, a lot of pools. No free internet access anywhere. Presidential pool wasnot that clean. Did not like the fact that there was no free internet, not even in the business center or lobby.

The hotel was beautiful, calm & relaxing. Very crowded, full to capacity, lots of stairs. Although it was a full house at Tapatio Cliffs we were checked in quickly. The hotel itself is beautiful, lush greenery, fountains and waterfalls. Set in the cliffs there is a lot of hills but the resort has a transportation van that picks you up with one call (and no longer then a 10 or 15 min wait) and takes you anywhere on the property. Rooms are spacious and attended to promptly. Pools everywhere! Loved it and plan on going back soon!

The landscape around the resort is beautiful! The beds were very comfortable and the water facilities were great for adults and kids. No bathroom fans. Also our standard room overlooked the laundry facility that did not have an awning covering it from view. Everything is great at this resort. The water facilities are great for adults and kids whether it's a family or romantic vacation. The rooms were excellent from a flat screen television to comfortable beds this was a great place to stay.

Unique mountainside property with a fantastic pool area, great views, and large rooms. Staff was friendly and responsive. Some rooms have limited nearby parking, and some have lots of traffic passing by. A stay at this hotel can be great if you get the right room. The "Mountainside Suites" are the best bet for views and less noise. The roads and sidewalks leading to them are very steep in places, but there are also elevators and bridges between buildings everywhere. The "Falls" pool area is very large for the number of rooms in the property so it never felt crowded at all. There is plenty of parking, but depending on the location of the room there may not be a lot of spaces nearby. The property's location in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve is great for a resort with many hiking trails nearby.

Renovation is apparently complete, so the property is in very good condition. Rooms are suites with a comfortable bedroom and reasonably sized sitting/TV room, though the furniture in sitting room was below average in comfort. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of activities: golf (a nice course and practice facility), tennis, kids activity area w/water park (well located on one end of the property, so the noise doesn't impact rest of the property), spa (very small - adequate, but this isn't the place for a 'spa' trip). 3 smaller pools offered quiter surroundings for adults/older kids. Fitness room was adequate, though they certainly have the room to add more equipment. Pointe of View restaurant overlooks PHX/valley - great views, very good food. The other 'Pointe" restaurant was also very nice w/elegant feel to it. The Mexican restaurant was average. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property is in north Phoenix, so it takes about 30 minutes to get to some of the baseball fields and shopping areas in the north and west parts of the metro area. This is an excellent property for families, and would be OK for a couples getaway or business meetings. The other Pointe Hilton is about 10 minutes away - a very similar property, though with a larger spa and better equiped fitness room (inc locker room w/steamroom; for us they waived the nominal fee to use the fitness room).

"This was a lovely setting. The facility was set in the mountains. We had a 2 room suite and it was okay. The rooms were a little small, but still nice. Nice features. Separate bath and sink areas make it easy for more than one person to get ready at a time. 2 televisions. Nice bath products. Lobby was nice and gift shop was good - it even had a small concession area. The rooms are set in a mountain and the staff will come and get you or take you to your room so you don't have to climb up. Very nice area. Phoenix is a great place to visit, lots to see and do and the weather is GREAT."

The views are wonderful, the spa is fantastic, and the food washeavenly. Restaurant service was mediocre. Surprisingly room service brought better hotter food faster than the restaurant did. absolutely wonderful place. Could have used a week or two there to use everything.

Deposit after I had prepaid with my american express. Many reviews stated eat the Creme brula .The menu in the room was terribly outdated said the desert was 6.00 it was 10.00 . The food was about 50.00 aplate if you eat at the point but does have a beautiful view. Also, the staff was really uninformed gave us a shuttle ride to the other hotel to swim at 745 an the pool was closing at 8pm. They also told us wrong directions, to places .We only paid 49.00 a night but would not pay more than that . We had a good location right by the pool but not eveyone was so fortune it. The beds Are WONDERFUL!!! feather beds with accessorries.

The whole experience was great. The grounds were clean , the room was big and had a great view. The staff was friendly and very accomdating. The pools were clean and a lot of fun. The poolside restaurant was inexpensive and the pool attendant were great to the kids. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at A Diffrent View resaturant , the food was great, but sadly we were not at all impressed with the service , we feelt rushed and as we were putting them out at any request we made! The part was disapponting since it was our only romantic outing without the kids.

The room was nice. The tv movie menu said 10 shows for 3.99. But we got charged for all of them. My 2 year old triped on the elec. cords hanging out of the fridge. She tripped because we could not see. One of the lamps was not pluged in and the other had no bulb in it. I watched the maint. man pull one out of hes pocket and install it. Im glad my 2 year old didit stick her finger in the light socket. The next day I went to the front desk and told them what happend. They looked at me, like I was retarded. Not even a sorry, just pay us and by by. By the way dont bother tring to get on line. Its not going to happen unless you want to sit and do servays. Call the hotel down the street you can get on line with them.

The layout of the hotel and surrounding grounds. The narrow road ways. Excellent so much so that we are staying for my daughter's 19th birthday this coming weekend. The staff was friendly. All of the pools were great and we really enjoyed staying here as a family. Our relatives came in from California and they enjoyed their rooms and their stay also. It is a great place for families.

Lots of pools, nice mountain atmosphere. Everything else. Hotel staff (including managers) were rude. We had a broken coffee pot, water pooling on patio, a broken bathroom door, and spiders in our room. The nice parts were the multiple pools and the nice mountain atmosphere.

They had seven pools. Everything in the hotel was very expensive! Nothing was free or complimentary. I would never stay at this hotel again! Well, not unless I won the lottery. Everything was over priced. They did not offer complimentary water bottles in the 115 degree heat. Their vending machines were $2.50 a pop. The Starbucks coffee was much more expensive than at a regular Starbucks. The Mexican restaurant was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The other restaurant was so expensive; we are talking 20 dollars or more a plate. The kids menu wasn't a huge variety. Even the little cafe at the Falls was expensive. We got 4 drinks, 2 non alcoholic and a basket of fries, it was 33 dollars. If anyone plans on staying here, I hope you have transportation that was the one thing that saved us from leaving this place flat broke. I don't recommend anyone stay here.

Booked a room for my birthday and it really was perfect. The room was very nice and very clean. I loved that they have the little water park, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is super great! When I asked the girl at the front desk where a store was, because I forgot my phone charger, she told me to go to security, and they might have one I could use. So I went over, and they did!! It saved me time and money!!! I really enjoyed my stay and I cant wait to go back!!!

Great grounds and pools. Nice to have a suite. Slightly older; some things showed a little wear. A nice but slightly dated resort. The pools and grounds are lovely and well kept up; the surrounding hills and park are beautiful. The suites provide a lot of room and are nice, but on the basic side. Our first room had been updated; after a pipe broke, we were moved to a bigger suite but that room was a little shabbier. Free Wi-Fi would have been a nice touch.
