This is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff who were helpful and friendly. It was clean, with a spacious and comfortable room (the beds were maybe a bit hard!). We paid an excellent price and the included breakfast was superb. Unforturnately, without a car, the location is horrendous. Getting to the centre of Rome took on average 1hr 30mins (over 2hours on a Sunday) from the hotel where you had to catch the fairly infrequent bus from a near street to the station, wait for the train (runs about every 30mins/1hr 30mins on Sunday) which takes 35 mins, then change to the metro, all of which eats massively into the day. I suspect it would be easy with a car however!

The hotel is located in a 'intresting area' and is a 30 min walk to the train station. Whilst only 1 euro each way into the 'center' of rome a 15 euro taxi is required to get to the main city centre.

The hotel A/C didn't work for 5 days and they wouldn't change or adjust our rooms. The staff were absolutely non responsive. They also said they were booked and no other rooms were available. I had to keep the windows open because the rooms were so hot--but the noise and the partying outside kept me awake each night. On the sixth day (10 day stay)after I had gone to the desk 4-5 times a day had a room--the room smelled like a sewer. I have been to Europe many times, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I had booked through Orbitz--Orbitz said they couldn't do anything because the hotel had the money, the hotel said they couldn't do anything because it was booked through Orbitz. No reduced rates were granted, or adjustments, or customer service. I will not book again with this hotel or through Orbitz.
