The free breakfast was great! Lots of selection. We enjoyed it. Elevators were really slow. Overall we enjoyed our staff. The free breakfast was great. The rooms were nice.

The hotel was close to the beach and our room had a nice view. The front desk staff was not professional. For the location and I was satisfied with the room. The continental breakfast had a good variety to choose from and the eating area was laid out fairly well. It did get crowded at times however. All in all we were satisfied with out stay.

The Quality Inns and Suites is located right across the street from the beach. We had a beautiful view of the ocean/gulf from our balcony, and because of the way the hotel was built, almost all of their rooms have a view (we were on the 5th topmost floor.) The room was a double queen, it was clean, and had a hairdryer in the bathroom, and an ironing board with an iron attached to it that was handy. The air-conditioning worked well, that was good because it was hot and humid outside. There were lots of restaurants close by, one practically on the same parking lot, which I didn't get to visit, but will next time! Continental breakfast was great, they had a machine that dispenses waffle mix into a cup, and then you make your own waffles. They had cereal, oatmeal, bagels and muffins, boiled eggs, a toaster to make fresh toast, orange juice, milk, and fruit. You can really pig-out if you have a mind to! The fresh waffles were great! The only small problem we had was that we wanted to wash our dirty beach clothes before leaving, and the dispenser in the laundry room took our money, but was empty of laundry detergent. I went to the front desk, and they told me a housekeeping person would meet me there to give me some laundry soap packages but what they gave me were bleach packages! I went back to the front desk, and was told that they were out of laundry detergent packages. My thought was that they should put a note on the dispenser, as they are $1 a package. I asked the desk clerk if they had soap available that they use to wash the linens, and she said she hadn't thought of that, so I got some liquid detergent from them and was able to wash my clothes. Other than that small problem, everything was great.

Enjoyed the fact that it was easy to find with accessfrom 61st street or Seawall Blvd. It was easy to cross the street to the beach or walk to a restaurant. My grandson enjoyed the balcony and feeding the seagulls. I would probably stay again.

Staff was pleasant and responsive. Great breakfast! They need new bedspreads. I would definitely stay here again. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Liked the small balcony with an ocean view. Granted it was not full view but you could see the water. Had a smoking room but used outside balcony instead. For a smoking room it smelled great, I'd like to know what they use. I was pleasantly surprised for the price!

Proximity to the beach. The bed was too hard and uncomfortable. The beach front location of this hotel is spectacular. The general appearance of the hotel was beautiful, except for some scaffolds they had blocking the entrance, but I hope that is temporary. The bed we slept in was very hard and uncomfortable. I've slept in better beds in other hotels. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I stayed here 2 nights, in 2 rooms.. In both, the noise was horrible, my second night was a nightmare. The maids banged the vending machines into the walls for about 10 min until I asked them to stop because my newborn was sleeping. The bedsheets and towels had hair on them and were dirty, the phone had no cord, the internet didnt work until the morning, the A/C leeked all over the floor ruining my crib and making the room smell like mildew. I spoke with the hotel "manager" and he argued with me and told me since I called choice hotels customer service I got him written up so he was not going to do anything to help me! He talked to me like I was an iddiot and told me he would not refund ANY of my money, did not even say sorry about the horrible service. He basicly told me to go screw myself... I will never stay here again,there is a bestwestern next door that I have stayed at before that was cheaper and had alot better service. The hilton down the street looked pretty nice too.

Dont come for the view or if you have children, My room had an unpleasent view of a cemetery!! right next to the hotel is a huge grave yard.. My children did not even want to go outside because they were so scared.

Hotel is near the beach, that's good. Room was kind of dirty, dirtier than most hotels I've stayed at. I don't normally wear shoes in my room, but after the bottoms of my feet turned black from the carpet I considered altering that policy. I booked three nights, but after two had run out of things to do in Galveston; when I asked about checking out early I was told I would not get a refund for the unused night. That's the hotel's right I suppose, but typically establishments are willing to waive those charges in the name of good customer relations. I guess they knew I wouldn't be staying with them again.

Good location - beach across the street, close to resturants and grocery store. Clean, comfortable room. Everything in the room worked well. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast could be more appealing.

Great location and my kids loved the heated pool. Great place to stay for the cost. Location great for Mardi Gras first weekend all parades are out front of the hotel.

Great location. Bad cleaning ladies. The hotel itself was great, if the cleaning ladies actually decided to clean the room. We stayed for 5 nights, 6 days, and of those, it only got cleaned twice, and both those times we had to beg. I understand that we stayed over Christmas break. To be honest, the hotel was overall really, really nice, and if the room would have been cleaned, I can honestly say that I would have been VERY happy with my stay. The pool was used heavily by the kids. The internet service worked fine in the lobby and in the pool on the side close to the lobby. We did laundry with full internet access, so I was willing to help the wife with it, since it allowed me the opportunity to catch up on my email. I recommend you bring along sandals if you want to walk the beach to find seashells, since there is some rather sharp rocks nearby.

Fair location. The entrance is to the parking lot and lobby area is not clearly marked. Not bad for a budget hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and courteous. The place is visible from the street but the entrance is not clearly marked.
