Hotel in a great location and a lovely building but a bit shabby - needs a bit of TLC, but then the prices would probably have to go up to pay for any refurbishment. Adequate.

Not 3* by my reckoning!Don't be misled by the debatable 3* self-rating of this hotel. The interior has seen much better days, the room we stayed in (and in fact the whole 5th floor) smelt of cigarettes and the "Continental Breakfast" led a lot to be desired. The room was cramped and roastingly hot, even for a cool May weekend, so goodness knows what travellers who stop in mid-summer must experience. My advice - pay that £30-40 more for a more established hotel and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, rather than grubby and annoyed! The one good point of the hotel was it's location - right next to Regents Park - and easy access to the attractions of London through a short taxi or tube ride. Such a shame the beautiful exterior of this hotel is spoilt by what lies beneath!

The hotel was shoddy, and our room was so small the door didnt open fully because the bed was in the way. The bed sheets were clean, but it was a small bed for two. The shower was broken as it didnt stay up right, and the floor and wardrobe were uneven. The lift was broken so we took the stairs. They felt uneven and unsafe.A good location for Hyde Park and getting into London though.

Given that this is a very convenient place to stay in London the Q Park Hotel represented excellent value for money. A small word of encouragement for the staff too who made my stay a very pleasant experience.

noisy nightDouble room tiny.Only able to access bed on one side.Good room for one person. For two people it would be impossible to move. Clean and functional and newly refurbished. Very noisy party in hotel room kept guests up all night. Management unable to persuade occupants to keep noise down to an acceptable level for other guests.Breakfast poor and not available at 7.00am as stated.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was near to two tube stations and was only a short walk from Hyde Park. This was the best reasonably priced hotel that we have stayed in in this area.

Queens Park LondonIf you're looking for very basic tourist accommodation this might do. If you want something comfortable where your needs are catered for - this ain't it. My room was tiny, stuffy and overlooking a noisy hostel which had people blaring music and shouting until about 2 in the morning. I was nervous when I came into the "Lobby" at about 11.30 - a few unsavoury types. Not recommended!

The stairs in this hotel were very narrow and steep, with the treads loose and dangerous. One of the lifts wasn't working and the other appeared to be about to break down! Not a problem unless you're on the 5th floor and with heavy luggage. The staff seemed either confused or unconcerned about the residents and I don't think we saw one of them smile during our night here. Checking in seemed to take for ages with staff wandering around behind the counter, seemingly in a daze.Basic cleanliness was ok but the tattyness of the rooms surprised us; how difficult is it to fix a drawer handle back on?We weren't expecting the Ritz for the price but it would have ben a lot nicer had the staff appeared less sullen and a little more active.

We paid for superior rooms - I dread to know what the standard rooms were like. Also we booked with full english breakfast but had to ask at reception as the breakfast staff said we could not have it. The reception staff rectified this and gave us a £15 refund for our inconvenience which we appreciated.

Overall the hotel is run down, the rooms are too small and not the cleanest. The breakfast is a poor excuse for continental breakfast, can't comment on other food because after seeing the breakfast I did not come back to the restaurant. Oh, and if you are claustrophobic even in the least, I'd recommend trying to get a room on the ground / 1st floor. The lifts are as big as a match box, barely for two people to fit in or a persone and a suitcase...

This hotel should not be listed by Late Rooms - it is of such poor quality it devalues the rating given. It is in a terrible state of repair and every guest seems to be unhappy with the quality of their room. The bedding was covered in human hair and the carpets not vacuumed. It was unbearably hot and there are no temperature valves. The breakfast is minimal and serving staff rude in not wanting to help guests in any way. A very unpleasant experience for a seasoned traveller who was only looking for a simple clean bed for the night at a reasonable price.
