I am not sure what the rest of the rooms are like, but mine was veeeery small. However, everything is well-equipped and quite stylishly done. Staff service is unfailingly nice throughout the hotel, the restaurant is spectacularly good (I would go to eat there again even if I wasn't staying in the hotel), the wifi works first-time, and generally a nice experience and a successful stay.

reception staff pleasant but inefficient.Breakfast cold(burners under had gone out) and no toast.Receptio area very modern and sparkling but room rather shabby tho clean.Very much a business man's hotel. As few people were staying a discounted rate would hve been nice-or not having the brekfast included so we could have gone out for it.But perfectly clean and comfortable and very convenient.

The bedroom ceiling was full of cobwebs. The rest of the room was clean. But it's disgusting having cobwebs hanging above you when you lie in bed.

Good value for areaHotel is in a good location for Muswell Hill, which is probably about 15-20 minutes walk from East Finchley tube station. Accommodation was fine, clean and well proportioned. The only issue I would have is that the sound proofing from the door wasn't too good - people outside the room could be clearly heard talking and walking past. Its a minor issue and I suppose it depends on how well you sleep anyway!

good valueWe were pleased with our reception at the Raglan, straightforward registration, polite, quick and helpful. The room was quite small but adequate for our needs. It was clean and in good repair(shower leaked slightly). The staff were friendly. It seemed a shame to charge extra for breakfast...but there was no problem finding alternative breakfasts in Muswell Hill. It was close to the Broadway and ideal for our purpose.

The hotel was reasonably easy to get to - Highgate tube, then bus to Muswell Hill. Very plush initial impression with the foyer and reception areas, but the rooms themselves are approached via a narrow and rather tatty staircase (no lift). Room was OK but nothing special. The restaurant (Flutes) was fully booked for the Saturday evening so we were unable to try this out. Breakfast was good.

Raglan Hotel is just OKLaterooms price was £75 per room only. At the lsit price of £130, this would have been poor value for money. As it was, this price compared well withh typical Premier Inn/Travel Lodge. The reception area, bar and restaurant are flashy but the bar is deserted at night. I didn't have the continental breakfast at £6.50ish. No lift to the 3rd floor. Rooms seemed refurbished but the double I had for single occupancy was very cramped. Only a shower. Radiator didn't work.On checking out, I got a bill for an 'extra night' which came form nowhere. I'd paid upfront for two nights and a further night had been added; oon sorted however. Muswell Hill is very good for eating venues - to suit every taste' as they say. Overall OK but disappointing given the website info.

We loved the hotel, our room was quite small but immaculate and very well presented. The restaurant and bar area both very pleasing. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, it was fresh and cooked well, the service was very good. The only negative was lack of parking, but we managed. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though it was very short.

For a London hotel it was quite reasonable at £85 for a twin room and clean which is a major problem with budget hotels in London. Not quite the Ritz but would stay here again.

If the hotel had been full price then it defitnitely wouldn't have been value for money. I was very disappointed not to have a kettle in the room as i've come to expect it now after having stayed in lots of hotels throughout the course of the year. The room was very much set out to cater for the travelling business person, with the internet access and desk. But again, not very welcoming or cosy. The hotel and room were very clean and the Japanese Sushi restaurant did offer room service, but we chose to eat out. All in all, not a bad experience, but £60 was still alot for what we got- and that wasn't including breakfast. At 1050, we had a phonecall reminding us that checkout was at 1100. As you have to pay for the room upon arrival, i guess they don't worry about customer service pleasantries after check in.

The hotel is in East Finchley, which is some distance from the centre of London, with the nearest tube station (east finchley) some 15 - 20 minutes walk away. We didn't mind this at all and in fact took a taxi back from the the tube station to the hotel one time. The day we checked out, we drove further down towards the tube station and parked for the day down on a quiet residential side street. (the walk down is not too bad, but we simply couldn't face the long walk back at the end of a busy day of sightseeing/shopping etc!!)The reception area is lovely and has clearly recently seen refurbishment, the bar too is great and the quality of the breakfast can't be faulted. (you do need to ask for toast before you get settled with your full english! (we were'nt offered it until we'd practically finished) only a tiny niggle though really. We had a family room at the front of the building with three large bay windows - a decent sized room with a shower and bath, tv, hairdryer etc and plenty of tea and coffee. My mum and step dad had a room on the second floor, which I didn't visit, but as told it was much, much smaller with only a shower and one timy window so it felt a little claustrophobic. We were all happy witht he cleaniliness though and the decor is quite nice. Didn't get much sleep as the street seems quite a noisy one and it was rather hot. On the whole, an enjoyable stay for a couple of days hanging around in London. Parking was good - there are about 10 bays on the hotel forecourt, with some spaces along the side of the road without restriction or residents permits required, so this was a nice change as usually parking costs a fortune. Easy to find - as long as you head for East Finchley or Muswell Hill. In the summer I would highly recommend the Raglan Hall - it might be a bit of a bleak trek to get to the centre in colder weather though - and you wouldn't have the opporunity to use the lovely terrace/garden area which is a real bonus!

terrible service from the so called night porter who told us lies, and was not at all helpful until one your agents interveened and managed to get us two single rooms. whereupon miraculously a twin room appeared when before there was none. After talking to the hotel receptionist in the morning we were told there was a total of twenty seven rooms available the previous night.

The hotel is nice but a bit far from the town centre, it takes 30 minutes by tube from Central London to West Finchley and then another 10 mins bus ride to the hotel. Also the sound prove is not very good, you could hear people walking, talking and banging the door all the time.

1 Nights stay in the RaglanMyself and my girlfriend stayed here for one night and were pleasantly surprised. First of all we managed to find a parking space directly opposite the hotel free of charge (hotel parking is available I think for a charge). The public areas (reception, bar, etc) of the hotel were very nice and the staff were very courteous and helpful. After checking in we went up to the room and started get a little worried on the way as the corridors are a bit dated, etc, but this worry proved to be unfounded as the room was very nicely decorated, modern and most importantly CLEAN. With regards to the area of Muswell Hill, as this was our first visit to London we had no idea as to what the area was like, but we found the area to be very nice with some nice shops and a good vibe. All in all a very nice, affordable hotel and a really pleasant area. Would certainly stay here again.

not my best night's sleep but not bad.I read horrendous reviews of this hotel before my trip which left me extremely nervous, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it depended on what room you had, but ours was great. There was plenty of room and it was quite luxurious. We only stayed one night but there was good storage to unpack clothes for a weekend.A few complaints, such as the power in the shower was almost non-existent - it was like having a shower in the rain so not great for washing your hair. Quicker to have a bath. Also the heating was on full blast when we arrived - and it was the beginning of May! That's a complete waste of money and energy, and we had to keep the window open all night to cool the room down. Some people have complained about the staircase and lack of lift - we were up 2 short flights of stairs and it's not that bad. Of course it would have been trouble if we were disabled or had to carry heavy things. Both the floors and staircases are very creaky, and they actually woke me several times in the night (I am a very light sleeper). We only had breakfast in the hotel. Shame it's not included in the price as it is quite a charge on top of the already expensive room, but a breakfast price typical of London. The actual cooked breakfast wasn't great - although you order from a waitress it is not cooked fresh, and the sausages weren't very nice. The continental breakfast is good, with croissants, pastries, fruit, cereals, toast, juice and hot drinks. The hotel is within easy reach of bus and tube stations - we went to East Finchley because we knew we could catch a bus to the hotel. It isn't close to central London so if that's where you're headed this isn't the place for you. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops.Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel looks nice, and the hairdryer was powerful which is rare in a hotel! It is over-priced, and although the luxurious but unnecessary touches like the decor and posh tv were nice, I feel they ar

It didnt work. pillows were ok, looked a bit dirty, but didnt want to check. TV had limited channels. Having 2 channels doesnt make it satilite. Not worth the money

The Raglan hotel has recently been refurbished so is very clean and modern looking. The single room booked was very small with just a bed, wall mounted flatscreen TV, side table and single wardrobe; okay for a night or two but wouldnt want to spend much time in the room. The en-suite bathroom was of ample size with a large shower (no bath). There were no tea making facilities in the room upon arrival, but reception provided a kettle when requested. Breakfast was great value for money. There is not a lot of available parking but thats to be expected in London, however, the hotel is very close to the centre of Muswell Hill so great for bus and tube links. A great price for London accomodation!

Boutique, yes.... but not all that....The upstairs communal areas were tatty and as a person traveling on business, in a single room I had the smallest room I have ever stayed in with a tiny little TV. It was Ok.... but I have stayed in new Premier Inns for literally half the price and got twice the room and facilities. Downstairs was very plush looking and I suspect that this would make a good venue for a wedding.... and the wedding party that was there during my stay seemed to enjoy themselves. Better for leisure and not very accommodating for the business traveller, at least they weren't with me.

The single room was a bit on the small side but very pleasant. Staff were slow to appear but gave excellent service when they arrived. Hotel seems expensive in comparison to the rest of the country but was the cheapest I could find in the area - it doesn't feel like value for money but you won't get anything I'd call value for money in that part of London.

Good value for money HotelI was pleasently surprised with this Hotel, it was modern, as clean as the 4* I stayed in the week before and the staff were friendly. Our room was small but had enough room for the two of us and had all of the essential facilities, the beds were comfortable and we had sufficient pillows and bedding. My only gripes would be that there was no full length mirror in the room (essential when a girl want to look her best), although the staff were friendly they did not go out of their way and it was much further from the Tube station (Finchly East) than we were led to believe from the directions on the website. The website said 5 minutes, but did not state whether that was walking or by Bus/Taxi. It took my friend and I at least 15 minutes to walk there and we are both fit young women. Having said that there was a Bus stop 3-4 minutes walk from the Hotel which we found to be very useful. There was also a number of restaurants near to the Hotel (we highly recommend the tapas restaurant). To sumarise, this Hotel was great value for money if you need to stay in North London and I would stay there again.
