The pool area was so bright and cheerful. It took me like 20 minutes to get checked in. It was really a nice hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

The facility is pleasant but definately shows signs of age. The rooms kind of felt dungeon like but it was clean. I stayed with my family (4 altogether) for one night and it was comfortable. Although we did not swim in the pool the pool facility is nice and would have used it had we been there longer. Altogether you won't have a bad experience here but it definately is not a place to hang out. If used for sleeping and a home base for Disney or other amusement parks it should work out just fine.

Wonderful for the price! Great location - just in front of Disney! Ppl that work there not friendly at all - ONLY downfall! We were literally 3 driving min. to Disney, and they have free shuttle service. Really neat indoor and outdoor pool, some of the rooms overlook indoor pool. Food at the buffet not so good and overpriced and staff not friendly, if you can get past that - WONDERFUL stay. Room was clean, great location, atmosphere around hotel great!

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The front desk was slow checking us in and they did not answer the phone in a timely manner. We did need to get the toilet fixed but once the front desk answered their pnone the maintenance man came right away. The pool and hot tub was great as well as the pizza.

We liked the convenience, the atmosphere and the food. We were not familiar with the area, had a road detour and it took us a while to find the hotel. We were very pleased, will stay there again and recommend it to others.

Location. Noisy, questionable clientele, not family friendly. The desk clerk neglected to tell me when checking in that there was karaoke until 11:00 PM at the bar, which took place in the atrium that my room overlooked. It was loud and obnoxious. We were traveling with an infant and it was impossible for her to sleep. We checked out just after midnight the first night of our stay. Also the room was musty and smelled of smoke. We would have been better off paying 20 dollars more and staying on Disney property.

This was a large room. There were two beds, a night stand, a tv stand with a mini fridge/freezer to use in it (not a mini bar), a large bathroom, and a good size window (that looked at the parking lot). However, the hotel indoor pool area is under construction. There is construction equipment all over. The only pool open is the outdoor pool. The indoor pool and hot tub are completely unuseable at this time and it looks like it will be for a while. This hotel is close to Walt Disney World and easy to find.

Safe, clean, large room, great location to parks. Tub drain slow, a bit older hotel but very clean. We are Disney Snobs but arrived a day early and needed one night off property. This hotel was Awesome. It was in a great, safe location. The room was large and clean. The kids loved the pool. (Go to the pool early because as the night went on-it became a bit like a bar atmosphere - I noticed when I went to get ice.) Yes, as others have stated the drain in the tub is slow but for the price and everything else, it's so worth it. Older hotel but so very impressed.

It was an excellent location for entrance to the Disney properties. It was an older hotel and did not have many of the niceties. However, it was clean and safe and a great deal for the price. Great location for Disney properties. Older hotel but clean. A few problems with no remote in the room and ac not cooling properly, but these were fixed within a few hours. All in all a great value for the price.

Indoor pool and hot tub was nice. The service was not helpful. A little outdated. The hotel is in a nice location. The staff could have been a little more helpful. Overall it was a pretty good family hotel. I probably wouldn't go back because it was a little outdated.

there was construction going on at ten in the morning the pool turned my bathing suit yellow. the tv and safe were broke and had to be asked twice to be fixed and they didnt even fix the safe. also the buffet in the morning was gross and im not a picky eater. there were stains on the sheets and fungis growing around the sprinkler heads in the room! did i mention the ac was broke. i hate bad mouthing but seriously i wouldnt pay 5 dollars a night to stay at this place. o yea and if you book this online be prepared for a 14 dollar fee when you arrive. . .have fun!

There were ROACHES in our room. We asked for a NON smoking room and someone had been smoking in it so we wanted to change rooms they said No we are booked. Water leaking from the ceiling and flooded the bathroom. Pool looked like skim milk!!!

The Ramada was an okay hotel but comming in to check-in we were very dissatisfied with the rooms appearance there were cockarotches then we transfered to a different room with the ceiling leaking, Not very accommindating.

"The Ramada Westgate is a great hotel, with an indoor waterfall pool, hottub, breakfast and dinner buffet, bar, and coffee shop all in the same area. There is also an outdoor pool with an outdoor bar, and a tennis court. Make sure to book an outer room if you're an early sleeper, because the echo noise inside the pool area can be loud. The people here are very friendly and helpful, and there's a gift shop for any last-minute items needed for the parks. It is only a couple of minutes to the Disney parks. It also has shuttles to other parks."

Pool and bar area was nice and location was excellent. Needs serious updating. There were things to love and hate about this hotel. The indoor pool area was great! The rooms were very outdated and need to be remodeled. The key card system needs updated. The whole time we were there the system was down and people could not get in their rooms. Laundry room is very run down and old. They keep the tokens under lock and key instead of in the change machine! I had to wait 2 hours to get tokens! People were friendly. Housekeepers were not very thorough. They left sticky soda on the dresser and never ran a vacuum.

The breakfast buffet was quite good. First room unmade, 2 keys didn't work, manager tried to make things right. Place sort of dump. When my wife and I arrived, we were given keys to an unmade room (towels and papers were on the floor from previous occupants). We took pictures of that room for proof. The luggage cart had one of the rubber wheels flat. There are only two of these carts for 400 units. Then two other rooms they tried to switch us to didn't work (the magnetic cards couldn't open the doors). Then, the third room the manager had the hotel engineer accompany my wife to make sure the room could be opened. I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone. Too many mistakes.

THIS WAS THE DIRTEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! IF YOU WALKED ACROSS THE CARPET YOU STUCK TO IT. I COMPLAINED TWICE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CHANGE THE SHEETS OR VACCUM THE CARPET, THE FRONT DESK SAID THEY WOULD GET HOUSEKEEPING RIGHT UPTO OUR ROOM BUT THEY NEVER SHOWED, EITHER TIME I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK. THIS REALLY SUPRISE'S ME FOR A RAMADA INN. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

When we reached the hotel after a long day of driving the front desk clerk was very unfriendly. It took us an hour to get a room. The keys do not work right, sheets were itchy, bathroom had mildew in toilet and on shower head, the non smoking rooms smell like smoke, and all the rooms smell like mildew. We were at one time upgraded to a suite because of our troubles but the double doors when pushed on pushed right open because a bolt was missing. The maintenance guy said don't worry I do not think anyone will come push on your door but how can you sleep with a door that does not lock or know your belonging are safe.Also they charge a resort fee for some reason but it has no resort qualities. also there is supposed to be a shuttle that runs but they do not tell you it only has four set trips two in the morning and two in the evening so if want to return mid day forget it.

The hotel was generally not clean nor new. The room was unsatisfactory - carpet old and dirty, not able to open the window, and overpowering air freshener felt suffocating. I would not recommend this to anyone I know.

Location, price, and layout of our room (privacy from children). Check in time was extremely slow, took about an hour just for our turn to check in. We loved the location. We liked the fact that everything was under one roof. It was much safer than having to use outside corridors like other hotels.

My son loved the heated indoor pool. Karaoke at night was very loud. Really a great vacation place for the price. This was our second time there, as my son remembered it fondly as the hotel with the pool inside and kids eat free breakfast and lunch off the buffet. Prices for the buffet went up a few dollars from last year, but still a good meal at a good price, considering how expensive everything else in Orlando is. Will definitely go back again next year!

Ok, don't let some of these reviews scare you. This place is clean, safe, friendly, and fun for the family. My son loved the indoor pool with the waterfall. The Pizza Hut is right next to the indoor pool. Our very best night was Friday nights Family Poolside Party. How FUN!!! And it catered to kids with hoola hoops, DJ, dancing, cheap smoothies, hot dogs & bugers. Go for it!

Good value. Indoor pool heater not working, pool was too cold to swim in. The indoor pool heater was not working, and the water was frigid, much too cold to go swimming in. They had also over chlorinated the indoor pool and hot tub, and the smell was so strong in our room it burned my nose and throat. The $6.99 breakfast buffet was nothing to speak of, you could get a much better selection at Golden Corral down the street. They supposedly had "room service" until midnight, but when we called down to order at 11pm, they said they had "closed early" for the night, too bad. But you sure couldn't beat the price!

Location and overall safety. Construction that was going on. Hotel was ideally located on Highway 192, stone's throwaway from most attractions, supermarkets and Wal-Mart. Apart from the renovations that were going on, I enjoyed my stay. The room was a little small but the bed and pillows were great.

We had a wonderful time. The KARAOKE was a little loud at night (8pm-11pm) but if you think the noise will bother you, request a room away from the center of the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and very roomy. The pools were always clean and the staff was helpful. For the price, it is definitely a great value!

We had a smoking room and the first thing we noticed was the lack of ventilation. It didn't just smell like cigarettes, but stale, old smoke. The carpets were sticky, I wouldn't take off my shoes until I was in bed or in the shower. There was pubic hair on the shower head, and when I grabbed a towel I found a long black hair (i have short blonde hair) on my body after drying off. I looked at the other towels and found a few more long black hairs on the other towels. After housekeeping brought new towels my husband found more long black hair on new towels. The soda and ice machines were on the complete opposite side of the hotel and when I was walking back to our room the carpet was completely soaked. I also noticed to people sitting outside of their room waiting for maintenance to come. When we tried to use the iron we could only find one outlet and it was behind a table. There are 2 elevators inconveniently located in the middle of the hotel, right by the pool and the shop, these are the only elevators, we parked near the back of the hotel, where our room was, but ended up having to walk back to the front to use the elevator for the 4th floor. When it started raining, the satellite tv went out. On our last night the fire alarm went off at 2 am, several times. There was no fire. The beds were comfortable, though!

The pool and loby area was very nice. We had a room that was not cleaned and had bugs in the bed. We had to go through 4 rooms before we got one clean with air conditioner. Three out of four rooms we went to had poor air cond. Our first room at 2AM was not clean, they made the bed and gave it to us. I pulled the sheet back and there was bugs in it and hair still in the sink. It was after 4:30AM before we got a room we could tolerate and it had half the ceiling missing in the bathroom. I am now affraid to stay anywhere I don't know. We were there 8 days with all this.

The room was nice and clean, the king bed comfortable, though the sofa bed was not at all comfortable to sleep on, the mattress was too thin and it sagged. You could hear the constant noise of the elevators. The air conditioner in the room was also quite noisy. We had to wear earplugs in order to sleep. Also you could easily hear the noise from the swimming pool which our room was facing. The maids did not replenish the glasses and coffee supplies every day. On the plus side, the location was good and close to everything we wanted to see. We also appreciated the computers with internet access in the lobby, as well as a small store which came in handy.

Location was great but that is about it. My experience there was horrendous from start to end. When I first arrived I was told I had to pay and extra $10 a night for hotels fees, not wanting to argue I said ok. I then took the elevator to my room, while in the process of going up I saw that hotel pool was under construction! It would have been nice if I knew all of this. To top it off the customer service was terrible. The front clerk/agent was not accommodating and had a really bad attitude; probably due to everyone complain about the extra fees and the condition of the pool! There are a few smaller things I can complain about but not worth it. If anything I've learned my lesson to call ahead.
