We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Savannah, and we found it. The room was not all that great, but that just encouraged us not to spend much time there - there is plenty to do in Savannah! The microwave, fridge, & iron were nice, but we forgot to pack shampoo and the only thing they provided in that department was a small bar of soap. Floors were dirty & sticky, the shower was filthy (old staining, hard to remove, I know). We are pretty sure there was some drug dealing going on down the hall. While we were there we made sure to keep the door double locked, and really did not feel unsafe. Just be careful! Cleaning staff was very nice. It was a cheap place to lay our heads at night, not much more.

My wife and I spent Christmas at the Relax Inn again as we have done for a number of years. The motel is very, very good, and the owners have continually improved it over the years that we have stayed there. XXX and his lovely wife are very good people and we enjoy seeing them and visiting twice each year, when we come to see my mother in Savannah Square, an upscale nursing home in Savannah. We have also become affectionately acquainted with XXX and XXX, the friendly and very conscientious women who prepare the rooms, and have been doing so for many years here. The elegant courtyard effect of the parking lot bordered by an upper-middle class residential area and restaurant group strip-mall creates an atmosphere of privacy and security. The location on Abercorn Street is extremely convenient to the downtown area and so easy to find our way back to always. Above all, we love the high quality and well-kept rooms that we always get. This motel is worth a lot more than XXX and his wife charge for it!

I have used this motel many times. I live out of town, but frequently travel. The owners are on site, are very kind and helpfull in letting you know where sites are as well as good resturants.

We were very pleased with our stay. The large, new , extra clean room was extremely comfortable and so was the bed. The staff was friendly and hardworking and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first stay, but it definitely will be our last.
