Castle Cecilienhof was built in 1917 by the last German Emperor Wilhelm II for his son Wilhelm and his daughter-in-law Cecilie. The palace, built in the half timbered style of an English country house became famous when it hosted the big three Truman, Churchill and Stalin for the Potsdam Conference in 1945. Cecilienhof is situated in the middle of an English park named Neuer Garten overlooking two lakes. The castle as well as the park is part of the UNESCO world heritage of culture. Each of the 41 different hotel rooms is individual by its location, size, decoration and view. The furniture meets the high standard of a luxury castle hotel and offers the experience of warm, English elegance. The hotel with 8 private banquet rooms is known as a high ranked meeting place for social, political and business events as well as conferences and meetings.
