The hotel is located in a lively part of the town with many different restaurants and shops around at walking distance of downtown Cologne. However the rooms are very quietly situated around courtyard. The room was comfortable with a nice writing desk. Moreover we appreciated the possibility to make a coffee or tea.

6 euros for 15 minutes on the internet, and a full breakfast was 24 euros. However it was delicious, and one breakfast would easily feed two. The staff was very professional and friendly.A first class hotel....

This hotel lives up to the Renaissance name. Inside, the decor is swanky and the amenities are top notch. I especially enjoyed the sauna area where they keep a refrigerated room as well as a normal sauna and a small chilled pool. The experience makes you feel like a rich Roman merchant. It is located just around the corner from a street filled with nightlife and is just a short walk to the historic town centre. My only complaint is that the advertised free coffee in the lobby is taken away in the afternoon when I normally drink coffee. However, this is a small sacrifice to make for such a wonderful uni-night residency experience.

Upgrade in Club class, nice lounge. Pool blocked by groups, breakfast not good. Overall for the price, a nice stay with some minor problems.

Comfort,styling and convenience. Bit of noise from street outside as bars let out late. Very inviting, lovely European styling. One of the most comfortable beds that I've slept in. Staff friendly and attentive. Very easy to get to from station, many choices of restaurants and shops nearby. Looking forward to my return.
