Very close to city center and all tourist attractions. Some rooms are very far from elevator, hard with lots of luggage. A beautiful hotel nestled in the very heart of Amsterdam located very close to Central Station, but away from the seedy parts of town. Walking distance to Dam Square, Anne Frank House, Magna Carta Shopping Center and shopping along Kalverstraat.

Only a five minute walk from Central Station. No in room safe. This hotel is in a really good location. The conference center is really nice and worth a visit. The staff were very good.

I liked the proximity to downtown Amsterdam and the room size. Did not like the bathroom sink and the bathroom in general. The hotel is undergoing renovations but the room was clean and the amenities were above average. The bed was comfortable and the room and bed were large enough to easily accommodate two adults. I would recommend that they address the problem with the bathtub faucet and shower head and consider changing the bathroom sink to a traditional sink. The location is excellent for downtown access. I would recommend the hotel to others.

I was told this was a 5 star hotel. I dont think the hotel deserves this rating. Construction is still going on as of the end of the July 2008. On travel website it states that construction would end July1. The elevators were small only about 4 people could fit in them. We did not receive a paper in front of oiur door every day. The lobby was not the grand room as shown in pictures online -- it was a small room in the back of the building. Breakfast for 1 was around 24 EURO. The good thing is that they offered bottle water free every day in the lobby. This is also located near Central Station and is right off the main street of shops. Our room was nice and clean. Our beds were very comfortable. Room service was prompt.

The staff was prompt and very helpful with all of our requests. Internet access was expensive! My husband and I had a great stay at this property. It was about a 10 minute walk to dam square. Close to a great Turkish restaurant and coffee shops. Shopping everywhere and the concierge at this hotel was excellent! Much less expensive than staying right in dam square and a great neighborhood.

Location Stayed in apartments - too many stairs. Spent very little time in hotel. Was upgraded to an apartment. Nice space, but a lot of stairs that were narrow and there wasn't any other way to get to the room.

The staff and concierge were extremely helpful. Nice atmosphere. Internet expensive. Used the laundry service to get pants dry cleaned and they weren't even properly pressed. Very nice overall. Concierge was always available to help.

Renovation on the hotel made it noisy and dusty during the day. I stayed in December, 2008, and renovation was supposed to be completed months before. Front staff not overly friendly, and the breakfast was overpriced at 24.50 Euros. It does have a great location for shopping and visiting the Anne Frank House.

They charged me several times. Now I'm stuck trying to sort out who is going to issue a refund. To add insult to injury, they even charged me twice so now I've been charged 3 times for the same room. You guys need to make your systems more in sync and much faster.
