The room I stayed in was recently renovated. Location - requires a car or shuttle into town which stops running at 9 pm. The Residence Inn is a hotel with potential. Currently under renovation; the workers were active at all hours. The biggest draw back is getting to Forbes Ave to get something to eat. The shuttle van stops running at 9 pm. Due to flight delays; I did not arrive until 8 pm.

This is a great family friendly hotel. My husband, son and grandson thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We arrived on a Thursday and were treated to a barbeque supper. The breakfast daily was heartly and appealed to all of our tastes. The pool provided an activity for the boys during down time. The room was clean, fully equipped and roomy enough to accommodate the four of us. I have stayed there before and definitely will stay there again the next time I visit Pittsburgh.

Convenient shuttle service. Nice free breakfast. The blankets and bed spreads are made of cheap synthetic material

The included kitchenette was such a great extra. The staff was minimal and the lobby small. An excellent hotel for the price I paid. Great amenitites.
