Breakfast was fantastic and service was good. The reception staff were helpful but slightly forgetful of what we had ordered for our room service meal, but quickly responded to our request. The room was looking a little tired and in need of refurbishment; the bathroom grouting was stained, which was a turn off, but we had a charming view of the established garden and was otherwise convenient and comfortable. Being fussy, as a light sleeper, I found the mini bar too close to the bed & the gentle gurglings kept me awake. My husband used the swimming pool & was happy enough with it. We had a quiet stay and the location was superb. We will be returning although it would be great to be paying a little less for a room which is due for an update. I gather one is due in a year's time. Recommended despite these comments. Have fun!

the room looked lovely and the hotel facilites were good. however there was no hot water in the room on the morning. reception did not appear interested. the room next door also complained and got no joy. whilst the hotel did offer a small discount on the room, they later went back on the deal agreed. NOT HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL in what is a lovely hotel.

The first time we stayed at this Hotel we had a great room overlooking the front of the Hotel, however, this time we paid twice as much for a standard room and our room was in the basement and we had views of a Wall! They were very busy at the hotel on this stay and so I guess that may be why we did not get such a good room. Although I say that, the room is very clean, maybe a little on the small side but nice decor. Friendly staff at bar. Would defenately stay again!

great hotelWe stayed at Richmond Gate for one night. We were very impressed. It was a lovely room (although not very large), very clean and modern, and nice bathroom. The leisure suite lived up to our expectations.

A Wonderful WeekendI stayed two nights at the hotel and attended a Civil Partnership Ceremony. This is a wonderful hotel, full of character and one that gives excellent value for money. The room was well furnished, a single room with a double bed decorated beautifully in restful tones of green and chocolate brown. The en suite was light and clean with both a bath and shower. The service was good and the leisure facilities first class, with gym, pool, sauna, steam room and spa bath. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ceremony and catering were again wonderful with a delicious menu, served piping hot.The only drawbacks were the long walk from Richmond station, although a 371 bus takes you to the door. There are no lifts at the hotel which could pose a problem for the less able and parents with buggies or small children. As alone traveller I found the atmosphere warm and very friendly, catering well for guests and quiet and peaceful at night. In all this was a wonderful break within easy reach of central London and I would certainly recommend the Richmond Hill to anyone.

I left my mobile phone charger in the hotel. The staff very kindly posted it on to me and with no charge. I was impressed! The quality of the food was better than the menu suggested.

We requested an early check in and this was available - despite the hotel being full the previous night - very good. The room was in need of refurbishment (as is the case in other parts of the hotel) but was clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, from arriving at 10.30 am when check in wasn't until 3pm, but we were able to check in immediately. The staff were polite and helpfull, the room was very nice, very clean and well laid out, the only thing, which was very minor that I didn't like was that we had a view of a restaurant wall 2 feet from our window . I would definately recomend this hotel.

PerfectNeeded a place to stay to enable us to get into London but without the aggrevation of staying in the city centre. Perfect. Good accommodation, courteous staff, good food and excellent value.

The Richmond Gate has been very well refurbished and is a pleasant place to spend a night or two on business or leisure. Room was small but well appointed. Bed very firm and pillows dreadful.Only major criticism is the lunacy that dictates low-energy lighting in the hotel, making it almost impossible to read in bed and bathing the corridors in sinister Soviet-style gloom, while the adjacent health club and parking are washed in brilliant light all night long, and a fake log fire burns day and night in the reception area.

I have stayed here and think the service, is exceptional perhaps the menu could change daily in the restuarant but other than that the facilities are very good and I would definately stay again!

Very well kept hotel. Extremely clean. Excellent value for money as we woke up in the morning and enjoyed a swim, jacuzzi and sauna at no extra cost. Lovely, comfortable bed. I had a very peaceful nights sleep. Would definitely return if in this area again and recommend to friends.

We specifically booked this hotel above many others in the are, for the exceptional restaurant recommendation. However, upon arrival at the hotel, when trying to book a table, we were informed that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings, but bar service would be available. This turned out to be exceptionally slow and of poor quality, due to the lack of competent staff.
