The 150 seat, 7,000-square-foot restaurant features white walls, black granite, stainless steel and evocative lighting with wide screen plasma televisions surrounding the room playing scenes from gem mob movies. Rio is the place for amazing entertainment! Known for their outrageous blending of comedy and magic, often skewering the genre of traditional magic, Penn & Teller's live show has been a hit on Broadway and around the country and now has a permanent home in Las Vegas right here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino! Edgy, provocative and hilarious, the Bad Boys of Magic put on a live show that on any given night can involve knives, guns, a fire-eating showgirl and a duck. Enjoy The Ultimate Girl's Night Out at the Rio's all-new Chippendales, The Show. Excite all your senses as these handsome male performers seduce and entertain at the new Chippendales Theater with a Sky Lounge, a Gossip Pit, and the alluring new night spot, Flirt! Chippendales The Show features 12 physically perfect male dancers who delight the audience with a series of disarmingly sexy yet tasteful routines. Designed exclusively for women, the show artistically encapsulates a wide range of female fantasies to provide a sensuous and fast-paced performance that offers the perfect blend of music, hot dance moves, and sensual theatrics. ***Must be 21 or older to check into Las Vegas hotels. *** An additional-person charge will apply to all persons staying in the room, regardless of age. We regret that children cannot stay free. *** With the new Pet Stay Initiative, Rio is now pet friendly! Book special Pet Stay rooms at a slightly increased fee, and stay with your favorite pet. Guests traveling with their dog will be asked to fill out a waiver form accepting responsibility for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the hotel. Dogs are only allowed in specified guestrooms and guests must make reservations in advance to travel with their dog. The hotel only allows dogs that weigh less than 50 pounds and up to two dogs are allowed per room. PLEASE NOTE: At time of check-in, each individual guest will be required to provide the hotel with a valid credit card or cash deposit in the amount of $100 per each day of guest stay if paying via credit card, or $200 for the entire guest stay if paying via cash (the $200 cash deposit will only activate in-room movies and phone).

The room could hardly be called a suite since there was not even a coffee maker. The staff was rude and hostile.

"The room was great and quiet with floor to floor windows. The great view I paid extra for was not available. The world famous buffet was not great. Only two live stations with soup being one of them in the summer was pretty lame. The floors in the buffet were a mess. But, everything else in the hotel was really fun. I would gamble somewhere else, because when we played at a non-Harrah's property we started winning finally. Stay for the rooms."

Very nice room and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating. The seafood buffet was closed and the security at the hotel was not good. There was a fight and security was not around to assist. Overall, I liked the hotel. My concern was the hotel's lack of security. There was an altercation at the hotel and if we had not screamed for security I really don't think they would have noticed. They didn't seem to care that we were very shaken up - they just stood there and looked at us. I would probably stay away for while due to that fact - especially if I were traveling alone.

I had heard a lot about the Rio and been wanting to visit it for a long time. It's a very nice hotel and casino and the overall feel of the place is great. The famed Voo Doo Lounge was pretty cool, and the view was unbeatable - but very crowded and there is a $30 cover even for hotel guests. Coupled with expensive drinks, I don't think I would go back to Vood Doo - I don't mind paying, but it really wasn't worth it. We also visited the pool, which was very nice - but, again very crowded. It was a Satuday after all and I suspect all of the other hotel pools were just as crowded. The room was wonderful. Those rooms have a lot of space and are very clean. I would certainly stay at the Rio again. I gotta say I missed being right on the strip. I really missed being able to walk from hotel to hotel. There is a shuttle, which we used at night to get around. But, in the morning I felt like my breakfast choices were limited (I don't like the buffets) and felt somewhat trapped in the Rio on the hunt for something to eat. Overall, I stand by my rating of 4 of 5.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the Masquerade Tower; our suite was on the 23rd floor; the view at night is fantastic. Floor to ceiling windows, 600 sq. ft, fridge, huge bathroom with granite, double sinks and full wall mirror and makeup mirror -$60/night!! Enjoyed the pool area, went to the spa, $22 per person or they have a 3 day deal, spa has gym, includes bottled water, juice, fruit, sauna, steam room, relaxation lounge, full bathroom with amenities. The light show only performs Thurs-Sun, the buffet is one of our favorites. Go to 1/2 price ticket booth and get the Rio buffet tickets to save $8/person. Condo sales people are at most of the hotels, just ignore them and they leave you alone (you'll know them by their black jacket and they ask "where are you from? how long are you staying?" Just keep walking and it's not a problem. Vegas is always much cheaper if you go weekdays. We've stayed at several hotels but the value for the price Rio is the best. Since we rent a car staying less than a mile offstrip is no trouble. Renting a car is actually cheaper and much more convenient than taxis or the monorail and all the walking. The room was exceptionally clean. The mattress was a Serta perfect sleeper (firm), not as comfortable as ours at home but we slept fine. Only complaint was it rained for a few minutes the first day about 1:00 and they closed the pool the rest of the day. It was open the the rest of our visit though. Several spas at the pools, several pools, towels are nice, plenty of lounge chairs, service was fine. We'll definitely stay here again.

Nothing. Absolutely horrible service from the front desk. I booked a double bed with two people, room only had a king bed. After I called the front desk they offered me a roll away bed take it or leave it. After several spirited discussion room was changed a double bed. The restaurants were terrible.

"having stayed at the rio every year for the past 10 years, it's time to try another hotel. service was extremely poor, from check-in to departure. In fact, the front desk staff was extremely rude when they could not accomodate our reservation and ""upgraded"" our room to one of inferior quality, with excessive wear and tear. restaurants are overpriced, no coffee in the room. overall, the cost continues to increase for a hotel that seems to be going down hill faster and faster with each passing year. we thoroughly enjoyed our rio experience, until harrahs took over."

The hotel is dark, loud and smoke filled. The rate was $* per night but a higher price would be well worth it. The rooms are large but well past their prime. The TV only worked in black and white. The oft-touted pool closed at six and almost no restaurants were open for lunch.

The Rio Hotel was great. It is an older property, but it is well maintained and the staff are very nice. There are plenty of things to do in the hotel and, even though it is off the strip, it is an amusement all its own. Very nice. The down side is that if you are calling some of the restaurants in the hotel to make reservations or calling for room service, sometimes it takes a while to get to a live person who can address your need.

Great hotel! I was there for a dental conference and the hotel was very clean, beds very comfortable, overall very nice. The staff was just O.K. The pools were great and they had a free concert by the pool on Thurs. night - that was fun! Room service was fast and I plan on staying here again on my next trip to Vegas. The only thing I didn't like is that I had to take either a cab or a shuttle to the strip - not much in the way of sidewalks to get there by walking and the streets are SOOO BUSY.

This hotel is an amazing choce for accomodations off the strip. We encountered no problems checking in and there was no waiting. The rooms are wonderfully large and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is perfect with two sink areas and lots of counter space. Even the beds are more comfortable than the avarage hotel. The only problem we had was a delayed reaction from security when there were some very loud people talking in the halls after midnight. It is so easy to get to and from the strip through the convenient shuttle system. The hotel is not plush with lots of extras, but for such resonable prices that is understandable. It was comfortable and clean, and I will stay there again with pleasure, booking of course, through Travel online! PS Try the American Grill for lunch or dinner.

I have stayed here before in the past... I thought my room was of lesser quality than the other times. I asked for a non smoking king but there wasn't anything available. OR so I thought, the gentleman who came to the counter right next to me during the final moments of my transaction, had no problem securing a king non smoking. Additionally, there was a non uniformed hotel employee walking my floor all night during my stay. I asked for clarification from the front desk but no one gave me a clear answer. I wonder if there had been a crime on the floor...

The Rio had large, clean rooms and great restaurants inside the hotel. Our only complaint was it took about 15 minutes of running the water to get warm water to shower etc. We had a large group staying at the Rio and people on the lower floors said it didn't take quite as long but people on higher floors also complained of no hot water. We were on the 28th floor so I would recommend requesting a lower floor if you don't want to wait forever for hot water. I would definitely stay at the Rio again.

Overall it was very nice. First time I'd stayed there. No blankets on the bed. I've never stayed at the Rio before and have stayed at many of the strip hotels. I only ate at the restaurants and they were excellent. I did not go to the buffet. The rooms were big but they do not have blankets in any room. You would have to ask and I found that strange. I like a chilly room at night but had to keep the heat up to stay warm. Other than that everything was great. The convention I was attending was held at the Rio and it was very nice.

I have stayed at many hotels in Vegas for business. Rio is a nice hotel OFF the Strip with some great food and fun. I was disapointed that to use the pool was $30.00 per day and the fitness center was $22.00 per day. I would like to see them allow both items for free with room stay.

Overall, I found Rio to be a good hotel. The sleeping room could have done with more lighting. The prices for necessities were a little too steep. "The Rio Hotel is a terrific value as all rooms are Suite Size, and the room price is comparatively on the lower end of Vegas casino/hotel rates. "Stayed at Rio during Convention Visit in Feb'06. Rooms are GREAT, very nice...view was of the A/C units/parking deck but hey, price was right. Utilize free shuttle bus to Harrah's/Caesars/Bally's to get to strip. The feature of the Carnivale in the Sky show was cool, but was very loud and sort of took over casino during showtimes. Use free tickets for guests to get to VooDoo Lounge at top floor for the view, but not worth the $20/person cover after 10pm if you're not a club type person. "

Despite the fact that we asked for non-smoking, our room was smoky. The staff did change it but we had to wait twice in a very long line to check-in. They gave us a small food comp for our trouble after I asked for it. Rooms were in fine shape but the hotel, overall, could use a face-lift. It is an aging property.
