Very basic hotel, 3 stars is generous! It's also kind of rough around the edges as jobs from the renovation haven't quite been completed. However it's clean and the location couldn't be better as it's steps from the Duomo. Breakfast is hopeless but there is a supermarket near the hotel and a bakery behind it. It was noisy as our rooms overlooked a tram stop but for the price and the location this hotel was ok.

The Rio is incredibly centrally located (steps from the Duomo, the Galleria, and La Scala) and for the price we paid (98 Euros) it is a true find. The hotel was in the process of going through a renovation which made the hallways (very narrow hallways) look a bit like a war zone, but the room was clean and well equipped with flat screen, phone, safe. The bathroom was huge and clean. Our room faced the Via Manzzini, which made it somewhat noisy at night. Overall a great deal for short visits and visitors who want to be in the center of it all.

The location is amazing, the rooms are small but clean. The bed of my room was only a few feet above to top of the tram that stopped outside my window! Bring earplugs! The breakfast is very meager. It is right around the corner from the Duomo though.
