Wonderful ExperienceThe Hotel is very much near to tube station and it is located in Central London. I stayed in one bed and hall appartment with all kitchen facilities (Microwave, cooker, fridge and a small dining table). Good value for money, I would recommend to stay here.

The place was easy to find, the bathroom was extremely small but clean. We would have preferred a bigger room rather than a small room and a separate lounge. But for those who are staying for a few nights, the fact that it has a small kitchenett is very useful.

great place to stay if you want to save money by cooking your own meals. Ask for a room away from the street!. Yes it is mabe a 1-2 star but very comfortable, was old but clean. Odd bathroom set up but it worked and we had plenty of hot water and fresh towels! We stayed in the 1 bedroom and was great with lots of room. We will stay again on our next trip. Easy walk with lugguage to Paddington and the Heathrow Express.

A warm welcome and smiles. Excellent. Friendly service from start to finish. Well postioned and close to central London. We had a nice new room.

Had to check in and out from in one building, then walk across the road to another one!! It was a pretty dowdy looking room with very old furnishings that looked dirty, although it was spacious and bed was realtively comfortable. However, the shower room was particularly small and there was no shelf to place toileteries on.

Apartment was quite dusty, tatty and a miserable shade of brown. On the beds there was no duvet, just a tatty old blanket in a similar shade of brown as the walls, wrapped in a sheet, and covered with a slightly newer but equally unattractive blanket.Room was too hot, even with the windows wide open. Could do with some air con or at least a fan!We didn't really use the kichen area, but it seemed ok.All this being said, It looks as though they are doing the apartments up, and besides having to walk over dust sheets and paint covered carpets to get to apartment, if the reception and lobby are anything to go by, it will be a great improvement, and maybe once it's finished we'll go back again. I don't think it was worth £75 a night and I probably should have complained, but I work in a hotel myself, which puts me off complaining.

Accommodation experienceWe had a double room on the top floor. Value for money was very good, given the location, but the rooms had very tired paint, carpets, curtains etc. I understand they are re-vamping rooms at the moment. There was crockery and cutlery, but only hot plates and microwave to cook in. Very basic utensils. No dish cloths, towels to dry plates etc and no iron. Things I would expect in an apartment. Bath towels were provided though and clean linen on the beds. So for a 1 night stay it suited us perfectly but I would struggle to spend too long there. Would I stay there again? Well yes because of the location and value, but now I know the limitations of what is available it helps.

Found it strange to have to show so much ID and give so many details when checking in.The room was a good size but the condition was pretty awful.Very basic and only ok because it was cheap and the location handy.GIven 2 single beds when repeatedley requested a double!

Nite Out in LondonReception staff were very friendly. The reception itself makes you feel as though you're in a good quality hotel. Although the hotel is rated 2* its the best 2* I've been in and would definitely go back again. I prefer apartments to hotels. I've been in some terrible hotels which class themselves as 3* and would prefer never to go there again. The Royal Court 2* Apartments was definitely worth the money.

Acceptable, if you know what you want. I was on my own, they tried to put me into a tiny, smelly room with no heating. The cooker was next to the bed and the bedside lamp wasn't working. When I complained about the heating, they showed me another room and finally I was given a proper apartment, like I expected, although a bit old-fashioned. Otherwise, very clean bathroom and change of towels every day. Reception attentive but a bit bossy and trying to get their own way with you.

Good budget option for those staying for several daysThe staff are very friendly and helpful, and the downstairs area is pretty nice, with a TV room that seems also to have WiFi as many people were down there with laptops. There are also two terminals for Internet use (1 pound per 30 minutes). My room was small and tidy, with a twin bed. Everything was very clean though old and somewhat dingy. The only real problem was mold on the bathroom ceiling, caused (I think) by water dripping from the ceiling, as there was a pool of water beside the toilet. This evaporated later, however, so maybe it was from something else. This is a good choice for someone staying a few days because of the kitchenette, which includes a tiny fridge, two-plate hot plate, sink, electric kettle, and lots of utensils and dishes etc. As I was only staying in London out of necessity before moving on, I probably should have just taken a hostel. Some good points:(a) You can save money bec. of the kitchenette.(b) The lobby is staffed 24 hours.(c) Located about 5 minute's walk from Lancaster Gate station. I took the Underground from Heathrow, switched at Holborn for the Central line and got out at Lancaster. Perfectly easy. There was also a gentleman outside the station when I was there handing out little maps of the area.(d) Located <5 minute's walk from Hyde Park. It was great to walk through the park down to Picadilly or thereabouts. Some tips:(a) Bring your own soap and shampoo. The shampoo and body soap seemed like the same untrustworthy substance.(b) The Internet access using the terminals is painfully slow. I would go to Craven Road (turn left, first cross street is Craven) and look for an Internet place there--I used one that was 1 pound for an hour, and it was very fast. It was in the basement of a newsstand and seemed a little sketchy but not so bad. Google \"keystroke logging internet cafe\" to find tips on keeping your info safe.(c) Golden Shalimar was a good Indian restaurant with cheap
