General Description

This hotel is fairly central, only a few minutes walk from the main shopping area. The rear of the hotel overlooks the river and the front faces the famous Jungfrau peak. A charming hotel with whose superior rooms are really excellent. Highly recommended! 0108SO. The main building has a traditional old style facade, with the modern section of the hotel hidden around the side and at the back. The building has elegant, spacious rooms, some with access to a huge terrace and all are beautifully decorated in white and pastels, with large bright bathrooms. The superior rooms are larger in size and have been renovated, these consist of modern rooms in the new wing of the hotel and traditional rooms in the main building. Both rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition. The reception area is very spacious and traditional in style, with numerous lounge and reading areas, including a pretty enclosed verandah and an imposing staircase leading to the first floor. There are two restaurants; the one used for breakfast is large, with high ceilings and is imposing and there is also an elegant 'a la carte' restaurant with a bar. 1 kms to city centre, 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 40 kms to the nearest airport (belp), Close to the station (ost bahnhof (400 metres)).
