There aren't many genuinely quiet streets right in the heart of London. But they do exist - and we're on one of them. In fact, you might never guess that Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are within a few minutes' walk. Any number of London hotels will tell you they're at the heart of the capital. The Royal Trafalgar has a stronger claim than most. The City on one side, Whitehall on the other, history everywhere you look. The National Gallery is literally next door, as is the square that shares our name. We have 108 bedrooms, all of which have recently been refurbished to reflect a contemporary colour palette and vibrant soft furnishings with state of the art technology including LCD TV and Wi-Fi access. Good, basic hotel with restaurant right in the middle of London. Price was excellent and service was good. We did not come to London to spend time in the room and therefore did not want a 5 Star hotel. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Underground within 3 blocks of hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in a great location, on a quiet side road which is a 2 min walk from liecster sq and only 5 mins walk to the tube station.We were upgraded on arrival. Our room was very clean and spacious. Would not recommend you pay £15 pp for breakfast as there are so many restaurants/bars only round the corner.Staff were friendly and helpful.Would definately stay there again.

If theres ever a hotel more in need of a refurb!, how they can even begin to say this is a 4 star hotel I don't know. Your better off staying at a Travel Inn as this hotel is well past it's sell by date. Most dissappointing.

The hotel was OK, but expensive. The room was large and the decor was well maintainted. I guess for a large room so close to Trafalgar Square it will always be costly, but it is more than I would normally pay. My one quibble was that I wasn't asked if I wanted a non smoking room, and I was too tired to go back down to reception and change rooms once I realised the room smelled of smoke.

I stayed at the hotel between christmas and the new year. i picked this hotel because it is near the centre of london and it had parking. The car park was over the road and was very expensive and no discount was given for people staying in the hotel. I was stood waiting to check in for about half an hour the room they gave us was wrong and they refused to change it the staff where very friendly but not very helpful and the food and bar prices where very high. There was a lot of confusion when i checked out due to the fact they thought i had left the day defore this took about 1 hour to sort out.I have visited many hotels but this one is at the bottom of my go again list

Convenient for the concert we saw in Tafalgar Square, however how this room was a 'deluxe' is beyond me. Not even tea and coffee making facilites.

Wonderfully central. Room VERY small, tired decor, leak in bathroom which was also dark. Room was ex-smoking and smelled of it. However, it was quiet, comfortable enough for one night and the service was excellent.
