Upon checking we were greeted by an unfriendly receptionist who told me that I would be charged an extra 40 pounds for an extra bed. The room was prepaid, but she wanted a credit card for room incidentals, which I provided. I was told I would receive a 50 pound hold that would be removed the next day. After arguing with the receptionist about the fee that I had already paid for the room and being required to bring back down my booking confirmation, we were able to retreat to the room. Upon check out, the staff was just as unfriendly in providing us with transportation information. When I checked my credit card, I had $190 charge from the Sheraton Skyline. When I called to speak to someone about the charge, on an international call, I was placed on hold and routed to several different voicemails. When I finally got someone live on the phone, the accounting department was just as curt and rude as the rest of the hotel. It was a completely unsatisfactory experience and I would not recommend this hotel to any international traveler. I was told the reason for the charge on my card was because it was not a British credit card.

The staff made extra efforts to accommodate requests. The location made it poor for sight-seeing. Overall we had no complaints and enjoyed our stay.

As above, when booking the room I wasn't informed that there would be no garden view or I would have taken a cheaper room. I wasn't informed at check in either and had to ask about the wallpaper covered window. This lack of information was doubly annoying as I am a SPG cardholder. The bar was very comfortable if expensive but didn't think WWF wrestling should have been on the main screen with another more recognised sporting event relegated to small screens, there were no children around. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff are always extremely pleasant and efficient. My experience was therefore only marginally spoiled by the negatives. Although I will probably stay again I may wait until the refurbishment is completed.

The accommodation etc was fine. Only one thing. If you are on your own do not get persuaded to go to the Club Room for drinks and snacks and a continental breakfast unless you drink beer! It is an extra £30+ VAT and not worth it for one. A g & t is £3 extra. Only beer and softer drinks included. Breakfast is continental.I am not sure if the £30 is per room in which case it might be worth it.For £15 inclusive you get a splendid English breakfast with everything you could want including specially cooked eggs, fresh juice etc. Well served in the pleasant restuarant!

Having spent so much on the room charging £15 to park the car we thought was a bit much, it should have been free. We had the use of the club lounge but a few more tea/coffee/milk etc in the room would have been nice, otherwise the room and our visit was good.

The Sheraton Skyline Conference Center was very comfortable, the room had ample space, very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel was very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night as we were leaving for the United States the next morning. We had asked for the concierge to make a reservation for a taxi for the morning of our departure and the taxi driver was ready and waiting that morning. We thought we were going to have a problem with noise in our room as our next door neighbors were very loud, but after they settled down, we never heard another thing and certainly could not hear any airplanes taking off or landing from Heathrow.

At the Late rooms price the accommodation was obviously Good value for money. At standard prices the accomodation was very good , but expensiveFood was also overpriced even for a quality hotel.only one small fault-- The TV reception was very poor in the room allocated to me.

The hotel was nice with large rooms and air conditioning. However, the amenities leave room for improvement (i.e. kids activity room that closes at 7pm, pool closed 2 out of the 3 days we were there, computers for internet were down). It made it hard to entertain our daughter during the nights, which is typicallly the primary time you utilize hotel amenities. Additionally, there were issues with the concierge (i.e. messed up car rental, confusion on bus information). But for the value and being located in a foriegn country, it was much more than expected. The rooms were comparable to rooms in the US and, despite being next to the airport, the hotel was very quiet. Additionally, the hotel let us check in early, which was greatly appreciated after a 3 1/2 hour flight delay. Overall, a good place for the value, conveniently located near an underground station (free bus service to the station), friendly staff, etc.

We had a one night stay to catch a flight in the early AM. What a wonderful hotel and decently priced! Great beds, excellent restaurant and really great service from everyone in the hotel. Only 9 pounds in a Mercedes for taxi to Heathrow and the coolest bar/pool area ever! We would definitely stay here again. There is a McDonalds nearby, but NOTHING else.

Room was comfortable although the plumbing was difficult (toilet stubborn and 5 unlabeled knobs in bathtub). Big shock to discover that though the web site advertises ""high-speed internet available in every room"" there is an absurdly high charge--over $28 per day at April exchange rates. This should be clear before you reserve, but since it is a free service at many of their competitors I can see why they conceal it.

it looks like it recently up dated. we had a very spacious suite and a walk in closet. the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean and the people were very pleasant, a good experience if you have to stay at the airport. The only negative, I thought breakfast was very expensive,$34, but then the exchange rate is not so great.

I would have liked to have an alarm clock in the room as a backup to a wake-up-call. Because of this, I didn't sleep very well thinking I'd miss my flight early in the morning.

Staff was extremely helpful and the room was comfortable and very clean. We arrived at this hotel to spend the night as our flight left Heathrow at 7 am the next day. The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs for travel to and from the airport, to drop off a rental car and then again with a private car to the airport in the morning because the Hoppa' shuttle was not running. The bathroom was rather large and very clean, and they have Bliss products for your use. I very much enjoyed this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

Modern, huge rooms, big comfortable beds and a coffee station. The hotel is close to the airport and they have shuttles every 15 minutes. The staff was nice and the rooms are huge with really comfortable beds. I love the tea coffee station and the bathrooms new modern and nice bath products. Highly recommend!

"we happened to stay during the terroist threat. 8/11/06. there was not a store avaliable inside the hotel and not a store to seen outside the hotel. what a shame, the first hotel i have stayed in without a store to purchase a bottle of water to a toothbrush to a candy bar, to a brush for your hair. not only that the food prices very high."
