The suite layout was comfortable and functional; a welcome change from a standard hotel room. Not close to the Metro, although a free shuttle to the Metro was available. Off the beaten DC track, this was good and bad. New restaurants to explore. Quiet, although the hotel was full. The suite layout was a welcome change from the standard hotel room, and gave me some room to relax and move around. Not close to the Metro, but a free shuttle to the Metro was available on the half-hour.

The newspaper at your door was a nice touch. Cost of internet computer hookup. This looks like a good place to stay if you're on a business trip.

The rooms were the best I've ever stayed in. Parking is 18 dollars. Sheraton Suites was a very attractive hotel. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The flat screen televisions were a nice addition. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The hotel is very quiet and is perfect for all types of travelers from those looking for a romantic getaway to the frequent business traveler.

Beautiful! Clean and up-to-date! Fruit-loops under the chair. This was a fantastic hotel, just across the bridge in VA with easy access to all DC sights. It had TWO flat panel TVs in each room and everything was luxurious. My relatives could not say enough about how nice it was.

Very comfortable beds and nice sized suites. Cleanliness was superb. They were doing construction, so loud drilling but I know that is not permanent. Staff was very helpful and checked me in quickly. Accommodations were very comfortable. There was loud drilling noises throughout the day, but I was able to sleep comfortably. This is only temporary, as they are renovating, so other than that I'd recommend this hotel! It was in a great location close to many restaurants and the DC area. Parking in the hotel deck was $18/day but there was street parking close by for free.

It was located close to stores and restaurants. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. The room was very cramped and the service was awful. We would not stay here again.

A nice location a reasonable short drive away from King Street in Old Town Alexandria. The shuttle to and from King Street and the airport (to catch the Metro) was very convenient. They gave you a card with the phone number and times (for shuttle to Metro), and they were very responsive. No need to drive to DC or King St, the shuttle and Metro were really handy. Unless you want the security, there's no need to pay $23/night for parking. Free parking on the street with no time limits is a block away (try in front of the Holiday Inn), but there are time limits around the hotel itself. I had no problems parking a block away and leaving the car for entire stay. A Starbucks is 2+ blocks away, and a grocery store is the next block over (and a Trader Joe's is 2 blocks the other way). Definitely a good place to stay for DC and Alexandria (and Mt. Vernon is about 10 minutes away).

Good bed. Extra charge for parking. Internet service in lobby is terrible. Hotel only gives you 45 minutes free. A Sheraton should be ashamed to charge for internet in the hotel room. $23 charge for parking is high for this location. Staff was friendly and seemed genuine. The rooms say suites, but they are terribly small and should just be one large room. The pocket door to the washroom rattled and was annoying. If the rooms were any smaller I would have been claustrophobic.

Located within 3 minutes of business. Room was accessible for senior citizens and it smelled like it. Overall a good stay.

What a nice experience. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Hotel was clean, bright, and room was beautiful and well equipped. Parking on street was not a problem. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel on Thanksgiving weekend. We opted not to take our pet, but found them to be very pet friendly. The pool was very nice, with lifeguard on duty. Our suite was very comfortable, the mattress was a delight. I made the stupid mistake of leaving my solid gold earrings on the side table, and they were promptly mailed to me by housekeeping staff. This is a great hotel. Take a trip down to King street and stroll among the great little shops! Also check out the music at the Birchmere, also close by.

Yes, it's a suite, because it has two rooms, but the two together make up a space no larger than your average hotel room. It felt crowded, awkward and a bit cheap. A very comfortable bed was the saving grace. The lobby was a mess, and the staff cheery but amateur. Not a real winner, but given its proximity to National Airport, okay if the price is right.

I booked this hotel assuming that breakfast was included. When I arrived at the hotel even the desk clerk thought I was entitled to breakfast. Not until I received my key and was about to walk away did she notice that breakfast was not included. I was then informed that we could partake of the breakfast buffet for $15 per adult. (The buffet was awesome by the way and economical.)
I was also disappointed to learn that I had to pay $18 per day to park my vehicle as well as $10 per day to use the internet in my room. We brought our XBox 360 just in case there was rain and we would be stuck in the hotel. There wasn't an accessible auxiliary channel on the TVs. We even traveled to Target and bought a universal remote thinking that might help. No such luck. There were Nintendo games available on the tv for a FEE.
The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. However, I felt as though breakfast, parking, and internet should be included in the overall price (even if the price has to go up).
I will not stay here again.

The staff at the Sheraton Suites far exceeded our expectations for both professionalism and personalized attention. There is not one negative thing we can say about our stay at the Sheraton.

Rooms are neat, beds are very comfortable. Outside noise. Located nicely, away from major streets, clean and comfortable; however, the first night there was some sort of party going on three floors below in the courtyard. After getting up at 3:15 a.m., we were tired and wanted to get to sleep a little after 9:00 p.m. After calling desk, staff said party would stop at 10:00, stopped at 10:06, but I had to sit up waiting because it was so loud. Next night there were teenagers running up and down the hallway making all sorts of racket. I had to go to sleep with a pillow over my head and ears to try to block out the noise. Our third night was finally quiet. Check with hotel about what is going on and who else is on your floor before excepting your room.

The room was spacious. Employees, lack of towels and coffee in room. The hotel was fine. One of the TVs in the room was not working so I called the front desk, maintenance was there to fix it within 5 minutes which was great. The room was large which was also nice. The hotel staff was the least friendly hotel staff I have encountered. They only provide one cup of in room coffee even if there are two people in the room, you actually have to buy coffee for the second person. They only provide two towels per room so if one is too wet or you want to wrap one around your hair you are out of luck.

Good location by the Potomac River. Price for parking is high. Nice size rooms with small fridge and microwave and the location in Old Town and by the Potomac make this a convenient hotel that would be a great weekend getaway.

Nice location, great to walk around but far from the downtown. No free internet connection even in the public areas. I actually liked the hotel and the surroundings. Everyone was nice, the shuttle operated on schedule, so there was no problem with using it to access the Metro (important for us). Beautiful views from the windows. Somewhat disappointed with the restaurant, but they are renovating, maybe that's the problem. Otherwise - very nice place.
