The Siag Pyramids, CAIRO, Egypt 2-29-2008 to 3-2-2008 was NOT comfortable at all, carpet smelled like mold carried from the hallway?the house keeping young man brought air freshener that made NO difference. When we walked to the assigned room housekeeping noticed the room was already occupied and we had to move to the next room. There was no desk or table, only two small low uncomfortable chairs. The wide sliding patio door was heavy and dragging and could not be locked due to Brocken handle. The chest drawer was falling apart and had to fight to open and close the Brocken drawers. Air conditioner was missing few knobs and could not be set for cool when the afternoon sun was hitting the room which made it very uncomfortable. When you open the patio door and go over the balcony you see part of the city and behind the buildings the two pyramids which can be seen only on a clear day. There was smug and air pollution that made the pyramids not visible. The car noise was so load that made the stay un-enjoyable. The bathroom was OK, some fixtures did not function at all. I had to call for tissues and bath rolls and building engineer to fix the dysfunctional plumbing, and falling apart receptacles and lights. The door key was very hard to operate and door chain was flimsy. The TV did not have much of anything to watch and there was no cable hooked to it. The most annoying-outstanding things that prevented me from sleeping were the uncomfortable bed that had a big dip in the middle and the load party music that came from the two night club Bars one on the top and the second on first floor. The music was so load that I could not sleep at all and when you are traveling and want to rest to carry on the next day. The tourist office was a rip off for the sound and light pyramid night show and diner Nile cruise with the poorest quality of food and delayed schedule compared to other quality ones in that we experienced in the Cairo. The location was NOT good at all and is far away
