This hotel is perfectly situated for a short stay if you don't have a lot of time to waste getting to the stuff you want to see. All the great must-sees are within walking distance. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. An added bonus is that the included breakfast is amazing and keeps you from spending unecessarily on an extra meal.

Wonderful hotel. Really central - within walking distance of lots of Parisian highlights (including extremely expensive shopping and the Ritz if your credit card stretches that far!). We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as preferred to go sit outside little cafes in the neighbouring streets and soak up the atmosphere. The staff were charming and very helpful (and all spoke English). A very luxurious hotel and a great price (admittedly price rather than rack rate!). We often go to Paris and this is by far the nicest hotel I've stayed in there.

The Castille Paris is a very nice hotel. I especially like their breakfast every morning, which is top notch. The breakfast/ dining room is also nicely decorated and very chic and comfortable. The service was great. The concierge was especially helpful in recommending restaurants. Location is also excellent. It is within walking distance to le Louvre, shopping area and other attractions.

I have several "must-haves" to make a hotel stay-worthy. In the same week I stayed at both the George V and the Castille and the "must-have" lists were surprisingly identical!! 1. must be a very clean room, 2. must be a very comfortable bed (actually the Castille won over the George V in this category!!), 3. must have a good shower with a hand held unit and good pressure...they were virtually identical here, and so, so pressure. 4. must have good lighting, 5. must have a magnifying mirror for make-up application, 6. must have counter space on the sink for jars and bottles and pills, etc., 7. must be centrally located, 8. must have 24 hour room service, these are my "musts" in more or less decending order. I have just described both hotels, even though of course the George V is a hundred thousand times more "upscale" than the Castille: in all important points they are identical!! this is not a fancy, frou-frou hotel....nothing like the George V of course! But if the above points are important to you, you simply cannot be disappointed.

Really good hotel, in a superb location (near to all the sites and the shops). We really enjoyed it, and would stay there again.

I travelled with my 11 year old son to Paris to sight-see, shop and practice our French language. A superb hotel, in prime location for everything we had planned, nearest metro within easy walking distance (approx 5mins with shopping bags!), we felt safe might and day, and the staff couldn't have done enough to help - and more than persevered with our pigeon-french when everyone spoke excellent English! I will try to return with my husband for a more "romantic" trip soon - as the hotel and rooms would be great for couples seeking a quiet ambience/privacy plus the big city too. We booked a lux double/twin and paid 290Euro per night for the room, which by Paris standards was roomy, with a large bathroom (inc two sinks and bath/shower) and separate W/c. Very tastefully decorated, modern touches with older style "french" theme in this Italian run hotel. The rack prices are huge, and I would have been disappointed to have paid more. However, the hotel was exactly as described and small enough to stay friendly. Our only niggles were the gym and restaurant were shut for refurb. when we visted, without any prior warning - naughty !!! The gym didn't bother me too much but we would have used the restaurant rather than the more basic light menu available in the bar as I travelled with a youngster and had planned not to eat out at night. The buffet breakfast was super, and relatively good value at 28Euro given the parisienne prices in nearby cafe's, but given the location sandwiched in amongst Channel, Yumi, John Galliano, Paul Smith etc etc that's to be expected. All in all, very good indeed and hope to return soon.

We only stayed for one night unfortunately, but we did so to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Even before arriving, I communicated with the Concierge ([...]), and he was extremely friendly and helpful in making plans for our trip. The hotel is in a great location - down a quiet side street just a short walk from the metro (which can get you anywhere in Paris), as well as not that far from the Louvre, the gardens and the Concord Plaza. Lots of cafes and nice shops near by.The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff kind and warm. The room was incredible...the bed was like a cloud. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was amazing. Didn't realize breakfast could taste so good. The only thing we regret about the stay is that it couldn't be longer. I normally don't like going to the same place twice - I like variety and want to try new places - but if we go back to Paris, I guarantee the Castille is the first place I'm going to look for availability.
