Nestled in the heart of the very exclusive 1st district, amongst the most famous Haute Couture houses and boutiques of Paris fashion district , Castille Paris is located in the rue Cambon, a street famous for housing the couturier Chanel since 1910 . This former 18th century private residence has kept its original spirit through a successful blend of recently renovated intimate and elegant interiors, enhanced by original work of art from the 18th and 19th centuries. The 87 rooms and 21 duplex and suites, most of them overlooking the patio, offer a variety of ambiances with a unique cachet, either in a traditional Venetian style or a more contemporary chic atmosphere. All rooms ans suites offer air conditioning, alarm clock, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, cable/satellite TV, colour TV, ensuite/private bathroom, hairdryer, heating, internet access, iron/ironing board, laundry service, mini bar, non smoking rooms, pay TV, pay-per-view-movies, radio, room service, safe in room and telephone. Dear Guests, We are very glad to announce you that we will do some refurbishments in our restaurant. From August 5th until August 30th included, our restaurant l'Assaggio, our Bar and our Patio won't be accessible to our clients. Naturally, the buffet breakfast will be served during this period in one of our meeting room which beneficiate of the natural daylight. I have several "must-haves" to make a hotel stay-worthy. In the same week I stayed at both the George V and the Castille and the "must-have" lists were surprisingly identical!! 1. must be a very clean room, 2. must be a very comfortable bed (actually the Castille won over the George V in this category!!), 3. must have a good shower with a hand held unit and good pressure...they were virtually identical here, and so, so pressure. 4. must have good lighting, 5. must have a magnifying mirror for make-up application, 6. must have counter space on the sink for jars and bottles and pills, etc., 7. must be centrally located, 8. must have 24 hour room service, these are my "musts" in more or less decending order. I have just described both hotels, even though of course the George V is a hundred thousand times more "upscale" than the Castille: in all important points they are identical!! this is not a fancy, frou-frou hotel....nothing like the George V of course! But if the above points are important to you, you simply cannot be disappointed.

This hotel is perfectly situated for a short stay if you don't have a lot of time to waste getting to the stuff you want to see. All the great must-sees are within walking distance. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. An added bonus is that the included breakfast is amazing and keeps you from spending unecessarily on an extra meal.

Wonderful hotel. Really central - within walking distance of lots of Parisian highlights (including extremely expensive shopping and the Ritz if your credit card stretches that far!). We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as preferred to go sit outside little cafes in the neighbouring streets and soak up the atmosphere. The staff were charming and very helpful (and all spoke English). A very luxurious hotel and a great price (admittedly laterooms.com price rather than rack rate!). We often go to Paris and this is by far the nicest hotel I've stayed in there.

The Castille Paris is a very nice hotel. I especially like their breakfast every morning, which is top notch. The breakfast/ dining room is also nicely decorated and very chic and comfortable. The service was great. The concierge was especially helpful in recommending restaurants. Location is also excellent. It is within walking distance to le Louvre, shopping area and other attractions.
