It is close to the Canal St Subway station. The air conditioning was not great. The rooms at this hotel are tiny but have all the necessary features iron, hair dryer, coffee maker, nice beds, good water pressure. The diner across the street offered a range of breakfast options, the Canal Street Subway stop is just two blocks away, and the staff though young and casual were always helpful. The one drawback is that the area is not well populated at night, so I would not have wanted to walk around alone.

Very good situation (close to Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn Bridge, and the subway) - rather fashion hotel with fancy design. The Solita Soho Hotel benefits from a very good geographical situation (close to Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village and its famous Bleecker Street + easy access to the subway) - And travelers feel very comfortable in this fashion and fancy designed hotel. A good and cheap breakfast is provided across the street.

The hotel was nice and small. We only used it to sleep anyway, since we were out all day and early evening. The double shower head was a plus. We stayed on the 9th floor and it was very quiet. For anyone who is looking to save some money this is the place. The train is two blocks away and you can get anywhere fast. Little Italy is also two blocks away and the food is great!!! Great place to stay for the money and for people that aren't too picky!!

Extremely cute hotel, did not expect it to be that nice. It's a hidden treasure so cab drivers were not familiar with it just make sure you can help them find it. The rooms are small, but very nice there were 4 girls and we were able to manage with all of our luggage plus when traveling you shouldn't spend much time in the room anyway location was perfect for us to see Chinatown, little Italy, battery park, soho, and everything else around there you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this hotel.

We had two rooms, both very clean and adequately furnished. Not large but ok. The hotel staff were extraordinarily helpful. Convenient to subway and good places to eat. An excellent value in NYC.

If traveling to NYC for the first time, stay clear of this hotel. First of all, they wouldn't let us unload in front of the hotel and threatened to give us a fine. Next, they didn't tell us there was no parking and would have to part on the street....yeah I just drove 10hrs from OH and the last place I want to put my car is on the street, yet alone pay another * a day for that....why wasn't this clear when I booked the room. Since we couldn't get to our rooms we cancelled our reservations and they wanted to charge us *. Yeah right, RIPE OFF!!!!

Going to the Big Apple is more than a bit terrifying. Finding a solace in the middle of a big, rather unfriendly town is a blessing and that's what the SolitaSoho Clarion was to us! Rather hard to find...cabbies don't know everything! Very small in stature but huge in customer satisfaction and effort. Rooms are very small but "cozy" is appropriate. Beds are comfy and once you get the lay of the land it's OK. Staff could not have been friendlier. One young man even guided us to the subway after his shift! Gave good directions and restaurant suggestions. Felt safe each time we entered or left the hotel....(China Town can be scary after dark.) There was a "club" that shared a rear door which needs to be closed off to patrons of the club. No issues we noticed but could provide an avenue of entrance to those that are not guests and therefore could be problematic. Employees of the hotel are all freindly, very well informed and are the type one wants as a personal guide. Nice place and nice people! Would stay here again after we get the nerve to re-visit NYC.

The location is great - SoHo/Chinatown near Little Italy. The street is quiet and there's a great coffeeshop across the street. The rooms are tiny but clean, with free Internet and a nice little bathroom. Just don't let them give you a room on the second (or third) floor or you'll hear the pounding beat from the lounge on the first floor and look out on an airshaft and roof covered with garbage. After the first night, we asked for another room and ended up with a terrific room on the 11th floor. Great view, no noise at all. For that price, the tiny room was still a great bargain.

The location was fine for walking, shopping and other sections in the lower areas of the city i.e. China town, little Italy, soho the village and the low. Did not have a lobby, other than the check in desk. The hotel was fine although the rooms were small they were complete in comfort. The bathroom was complete in all needs and the shower was better than most hotels.
