There was a long line when we arrived to check in. They only had two people working, and they were also having to answer the phone while trying to check people in. Once we got to the counter, the guy was not friendly at all. The room was good for the price, but they wanted $12.99/day for internet usage, $15.00/day to use the workout room, and no fridge. The casino was pretty nice, but the blackjack dealers were NOT friendly AT ALL! We decided that we would not stay at this hotel again.

I really liked that it was a few miles off (south of) the Strip, and that it had a Whole Foods store nearby. The cleanliness (except for the slight smokiness of the casino) was excellent. The spacious bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with very nice toiletries. And it was a STEAL of a price. I'll definitely stay here when I travel back to Vegas--and I hope to have the time to check out more of what the hotel has to offer (movie theater, restaurants, etc.).

This hotel is south of the main part of the Las Vegas Strip so it was a better atmosphere to have younger children around. Enjoyed the pool very much! We were also able to acess he interstates very well to get to other locations around the city.

Enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Room was very comfortable and roomy with good bed and large bathroom. The casino was clean and not overly crowded. Food was good and not over priced. Only problem was hotel location from the rest of Vegas. Was told a bus ran past hotel and could ride for $4 all day. In fact a bus did run by the hotel but it took 2 hours to get anywhere and you had to change buses someplace. With the distance out it was a $40 cab ride downtown and $25 to the strip. Hotel did provide shuttle to airport.

The room was not cleaned between our first and second day stay and the beds were not made. It was disappointing to come back in the evening. The hotel offered to clean it but we were too tired to be interrupted. We also had to walk very far from the hotel entrance to our room. Aside from this, we loved the hotel.

Great. Rooms are big and very quite. Clean. Away from all the Las Vegas crowd but close enough if you want. Had an medical emergency while staying at South Point. Hotel staff helped me rebook two extra nights at my same discount rate plus a wheel chair was available for my entire stay. I felt safe and confortable staying there by myself. Would stay again.

This was my first trip to Vegas and I was very pleased with the South Point Hotel. It was about ten minutes from the strip but worth it. The room was great, there were things to do inside when it was too hot to go out. It was nice to get away from the huge crowds for a while. The restaurants were good as well. This is a more family oriented place with bowling and a movie theater. More laid back than places right on the strip (It is still on the strip just far south). The line to check in was rather long but went quickly and we had no problems. We got a book of coupons for the restaurants etc that was nice. I would go back to this hotel.

The hotel was very nice with the exception of the location. It is several miles off of the Strip but that wasn't a concern to us because they advertised free shuttle service to the Strip. Two weeks before we arrived the hotel discontinued the shuttle service, which caused some inconvenience, lost time, and lots of walking until we figured out the bus system (there isn't a direct bus from the hotel area to downtown). I would not recommend this hotel because of the location.

Close to the freeway for travel, yet still a fun place to stay. The carpet in the dinning room. A great stay off the Vegas strip. Not dingy or un safe like other places.

South Point is a great place to stay to be close to Vegas but not too close. Good room rates. Very spacious rooms and super clean! I'll stay there everytime I go to Vegas! It was a lot of fun having a bowling alley and movie theater right there in our hotel!

I visit Vegas at least once a year. My visits are normally with friends but, decided to bring my 2 children this past visit. Well, they enjoyed the hotel very much. My youngest child loves to bowl so, being able to just go downstairs to do so was a plus. We took in a movie while we were there, also. Right off the bowling alley is an arcade for kids. Not that big but it does help keep children busy. The staff was great, from the valet, to the front desk, to the bellmen, all were very friendly and extremely helpful. If you just decided to stay in the hotel for they day, there would be something for you to do. If you are the type of person that likes the hustle and bustle of the strip, this is not the place for you. Far down the strip, away from the action but, if you have a car, just a hop, skip and a jump away. Many places to eat in the hotel and several places to stop on your way to the strip. You can't beat the cost. Will be back in December.

Stayed two nights as part of a vacation with wife and two boys, ages 15 and 20. I believe the rooms were as clean and in good condition as any hotel room I have stayed in. Read some reviews that said that the cigarette smoke from the casino could be smelled on the rooms, but that was not our experience. As far as the room goes, everything was perfect. Did not use the pool or some of the other facilities, so no opinion on that. The casino was well lit, which we liked. Many of the casinos on the strip are dimly lit and gives them a seedy feel. Felt very safe in the hotel. Staff we encountered were very friendly, including the security guards. The boys and myself loved the bowling alley and the boys had fun in the arcade. The restaurants were all very good and reasonably priced, especially when using the coupons given to us at check-in. Joined the casino club and received $25 to be used in the casino in any slots or tables. Not like some other casinos/hotels that advertise $100 free slot play; but are only for certain machines with only three winning combinations. Wife won $625 on one spin playing quarter slots with house money. No complaints there! Casino was very clean and well laid out. If you like being in the middle of the strip action, not the place for you. But if you want to have fun and then a good nights rest, this is the place! Had a better time than we planned and now plan to return and definitely stay here again! May not even leave the hotel this time!

This is one of the nicedt hotels in Vegas. At night the hotel is lit up like the Taj Majal! NICE! The buffet was wonderful, and upon check-in we noticed in the ticket book we received, that there was a free bottle of champagne and a BOGO free breakfast. Free is ALWAYS good! I was happy with the accomdations, and there are TONS of free parking, just make sure you write down the section of where you parked or you might lose your car (i did). This hotel for our stay was a win-win situation!

I booked a room at the South Point Hotel and Casino for about $* less on Travel website than the South Point website. The place was clean; I asked for nonsmoking and I got it. They offered good service and I will certainly try there again if the price is right.

The room was clean, large, quiet, and comfortable, the roll-in shower was easy to use, and there was plenty of room even with two beds. Beds were very comfortable, and an easy transfer from a manual wheelchair. Nice large LCD television, and in-room coffee maker. The price using AAA was very reasonable, and the only thing missing in the room was mini refrigerator and microwave. The only thing I found difficult was wheeling across carpet all the way to the elevator, but nearly all hotel/casinos in Vegas are carpeted and at least it's a straight shot from the entry to the elevators - unlike most. Didn't try room service, so I can't comment on that. Food in the restaurants that we tried was just OK, and a little pricey. The casino was quieter than most and small enough to get around quite easily. If you need the roll-in shower, call ahead, as not all H/C rooms have them.

For the price, a good choice. The rooms are clean. The staff was friendly. The buffet was better than expected. The casino appears to appeal to a lot of locals. The sports book is very comfortable. I stayed at South Point when it first opened and this is my first time back. I think they have kept things up pretty well. The location is the biggest drawback. It is always a drive to go anywhere else. I arrived early, right when check-in began, but was unable to get a non-smoking room. I was thinking it was because I came in at a discounted rate. It was hard to believe that there were none available at that time.

South Point Hotel is right off the 15 freeway. We went for my daughter's basketball tournament. Has plenty of covered self-parking. Rates are extremely reasonable. Each room is spacious and has a flat screen TV. Renovated pool is open 24 hours! Very family oriented. Service at coffee shop (after midnight) was a bit slow.

Roomy rooms, quiet and peaceful. Horrible service. Not close to strip or airport. They first assigned a already booked room to us. When we got the keys and opened the door, the room was already inhabited. When we called down to ask to change rooms for us, they kept hanging up on us. We had to go down to the front desk again, and tell them to change rooms. They were very rude when it was their fault.
