Best thing is the location. Main building is old, over-heated, rooms spread over 3 floors and no elevator, poor sound insulation. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and quickly served. Receptionists were friendly, helpful and efficient. Sadly I witnessed a very unhappy visitor, whose original booking had been lost and who had been allocated a noisy room beside reception ( ! ), receiving less than apologetic management from the manager. Not really the sort of Irish hospitality we would wish for tourists visitng our capital for a wedding.

This hotel/b+b was nice and clean with very friendly staff, good food, very comfortable room and very central right beside the beautiful gem in the centre of Dublin which is Stephens Green with easy access to the city centre. I would have no hesitation in recomending Stauntans as really good value.

Value for moneyThis was our 3rd stay at Stauntons on the Green. Ideal location for a weekend trip. We really enjoyed the walk through St Stephen's Green each morning. All staff very helpful and pleasant.Reasonable priced and inclusive of breakfast.

The room was very very small, but it was clean and nice, and I had a fabulous view of St. Stephens Green. It was very good value for money. There didn't appear to be anywhere to get bottled water or a late night snack though.

The hotel is in a good location near Grafton Street, staff were friendly and the breakfast was very nice. The hotel is older style and the room we received was comfortable but rather worn out looking. It was also on the 3rd floor with no lift. I'm sure there are better rooms in the hotel as there is a new extension, but at 130 euros I would expect a nicer room.
