The rooms looked like they were recently updated. The indoor courtyard is an echo chamber and can get quite loud. This hotel is an older Sheraton style place with a large indoor courtyard that can be used as a function facility. The courtyard is surround on 3 sides by rooms on 2 level with a balcony or sliders to a patio. One end has of the courtyard has a pool, and the lobby end has an indoor restaurant. The room was good sized and looked like it was recently renovated. It had one of those new cup at a time coffee makers, but only one pod of regular and one of decaf. One of the 2 double beds had a better mattress so we used that one. The downside of rooms overlooking the courtyard is the noise. People were congregating out there until almost Midnight and we had to call the front desk twice before the people quieted down or went back to their rooms. On a good note, there was a torrential downpour of rain the evening of our stay and the front desk called us when part of their parking lot started flooding. I was able to move my car before the water rose enough to do damage. If you want quiet, I would recommend asking for a room that is not on the courtyard.

Close to center of Sturbridge, lots of bars/restaurants nearby, and right on a lake with beautiful views! Some parts need to be updated, the smoking section was awful and the smell leaked into non smoking section. The hotel is very nice, clean, and has a homey feel. The indoor pool is neat and there was a great area around the pool for families/kids. The hotel is also on a lake and there is beach access right on the hotel.

This hotel is very charming. Great view of the lake with an a nice deck area. Wonderful location in the quaint town of Sturbridge. Very nice! Could use some painting & updates. We would love to stay at this hotel again in the future. The room we had was lakeside, and it was beautiful! Most of the hotel employees were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to visit again!

NA. Everything was out dated or out of order. Stains all over couch, they covered it with a sheet at my request. No cable, they said it wasn't their fault, it was the cable company. Restaurant was sold out of almost all entrees. Very Noisy, kept up until 3:20 AM. Broken patios doors, felt that belongings were not safe. Room stunk of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The lobby was nice but the hotel was old and felt and smelled very unclean.

View of lake from room and lobby fireplace. Pool was not warm and hot tub was not hot (82 degrees); pool area and hallways looks old, warn (e.g., doors in hall way scratched). We enjoyed the hotel's convenient location to Old Sturbridge Village's Christmas by Candlelight. Rooms have been recently updated and many overlook the lake. Hotel lobby has attractive fireplace. We enjoyed our brunch on Sunday. Ordered room service and enjoyed the chicken caesar salad, but not the potato skins or hot wings. Heated pool was very chilly and the hot tub at 82 degrees was a disappointment.

Price. Staff was unresponsive. The hotel location and price was good. Rooms not that clean. Man who was not hotel guest changed in the pool area in front of 16 children and hotel staff did nothing. I spoke to the gentleman and told him when he gets dressed to do it in the changing rooms or bathroom. When he got out of the pool he changed again in the pool area. Staff was informed and they did nothing again.

Pet friendly! The quality of the in-room coffee is, well, try the New England brand. We really like staying at the Host when we are in the Sturbridge area (which is a lot). The only criticism: Can they please make sure the maids check the shower curtains? Ours was moldy in a spot under a fold. But - the new beds, carpet and baths are great - hopefully they will keep the nice new carpets clean in the pet rooms. There is nothing I hate more than dirty carpet and fleas! My dog doesn't have fleas, and I don't want them, either! Thanks!

The pool. Parking and the mattress, (springs). Not a bad hotel, could have been a little cleaner not a 3 star hotel by any means. Bedroom had water damage, ceiling in hallway was leaking, had a bucket under it, looked like an old leak. Bathroom vent was full of dust. Whole place could use a remodel.

Excellent view of the lake. Staff very accommodating about giving me a lake view room. The service in the hotel for breakfast was slow or nonexistent. I sat with a cold cup of coffee waiting for service while groups of 2 or more were. Other than the service at breakfast the hotel was great. Close to old Sturbridge village and all attractions.
