We have stayed at Sutton Place many times and have taken 2 other couples with us at different times. And I do know that they will return again. The restaurants, shopping is right there. We enjoy walking around after our dinner to just people watch. Also we enjoy walking around the neighbor to see the homes. If our family wasn't living on the west coast we would be living in Chicago on the Near North side.

The rooms were large and quiet. The bathroom had a deep tub as well as large shower and a robe for guest use. Minibar has a wine opener and wine glasses for use. Very good location for North Michigan shopping and eating as well as Rush St. restaurants.

Good location in Gold Coast area. Many dining options within walking distance. Bars, clubs, music and shoppping all nearby. Also walkable to magnificient mile. Hotel room was nice size and clean. Large bathroom, nice. Business center only open Mon-Friday, no ice machine, no coffeemaker in room, no coffee service in lobby. We found these things inconvenient. Best feature was location.

It was a great room, windows on 2 sides. The bathrooms were excellent, with substantial room to move around. Closet was a great size, but had only 1 suitcase stand. The hotel only had 1 restaurant, and it was mexican-themed, so we opted to eat across the street at the pancacke house. Cute neighborhood, quiet hotel, nice rooms with cosmopolitan decor. A great value for the money. The service for the taxi service outside was excelent - always willing to get a cab for us, or anything else we needed. I highly recommend this hotel!

good location Charming, but small lobby. Good concierge staff (not exceptional) Parking a hassle due to location, also costly. No other amenities to speak of. Close to Miracle Mile and other high-end shopping. Lovely neighborhood

The Sutton Place Chicago is in the right spot for exciting evening activities and dining. Within steps of the enterance are many choices for good food and places to meet Chicagoins and visitors to a wonderful city. If it is breakfast or brunch you desire the pancake house across the street is nearly impossible to beat. The room was very comfortable and recently upgraded, with a separate modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness center has new quality equipment and overlooks the neighborhood from the fifth floor, giving it an open feeling.

Loved the size of the rooms and the stereo equipment. No complimentary coffee makers and coffee in room. Great hotel in a residential type community near Michigan Avenue. Conveniently located near many mainstream shops and local shops. Loved the size of the rooms. Would have enjoyed complimentary coffee and coffee makers in the room.

This is a lovely hotel. The location, close to all the quaint restaurants and shops on Rush Street AND the big attractions of Michigan Avenue and downtown Chicago, make it a sure thing. The hotel is top-quality and not part of the "big hotel" situation caused by the massive Chicago conventions. We went to family wedding events at the Hyatt and Intercontinental, but our hotel was the best of all!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the low key elegance and charm of Sutton Place. The staff was professional and very friendly. Maid service twice daily was prompt and very efficient! Modern rooms and lobby. The bed and pillows were perfect. The bathroom was large and clean with drawers to put things in. Great shower and huge tub. Great selection of pay movies!!! Quiet hotel with tons of action right across the street. The Mex Whiskey bar in te lobby was always hopping and fun!

Room was larger than expected. Staff was responsive and helpful. Walking distance to many places of interest--good restaurants, shopping. No coffee and tea on weekends, free during week. Lots of activity outside, but very quiet in room which is very impt. to me.

Great location! Nice staff. Spacious bedroom and nice bathroom and tub! Had to wait over 15 minutes on 2 occasions for valet. Surcharge for room with double beds. Best feature is the location! This is a 3-star hotel in a 4-star hotel location. Room and bathroom were clean. Enjoyed the bathtub. Valet parking service is expensive and not very efficient. Was late for first day of meetings due to 25 minutes wait for valet. Staff was otherwise friendly enough.

Location right across from restaurant and bar. No accommodations not worth the price at all both thumbs down. I did not get the view that I truly wanted and they could not accommodate me with a double bed as they were full. Instead of feeling like I received a great deal for my money.

Location met all expectations and needs. Staff did not go out of their way to help/accommodate. We will not be staying at the Sutton Place again. While the location is great, the room smelled of smoke and was very difficult to regulate from a temperature standpoint. While it is a little thing, although the hotel had door staff, I think once in our three-day stay did we have a door held open for us. Additionally, the business center was difficult to use given the size of the hotel relative to stations available.

The Sutton Place Hotel was very nice overall although our room was very cold even with the thermostat turned up to 86 degrees. Included was breakfast but the first morning had to be room service because they don't serve food on weekends. it was very nice although it arrived 20 minutes after I asked for. As for breakfast the other two days it was cold cereal, bagels, and yogurt. We did not have the option of switching out for other things on the menu. My daughter wanted pancakes and they charged $12 for them because she asked for fruit on the side. It was also freezing cold in the dining room. Other than that the hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and it is in a fabulous location for shopping, dining and catching cabs to wherever.

The Sutton Place is situated in a great location in Chicago's Gold Coast. Near shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, the location cannot be beat. The room itself was comfortable if a bit on the small side. We swapped rooms with our in-laws in order to have enough room for cribs for our two children. The bathroom had some positives and negatives. On the positive side, separate bath and shower were welcome. However, the shower door did not close completely causing a good deal of water to escape the shower and collect on the bathroom floor. Also, the dated tile made it difficult to feel as though theshower was easily cleaned. All in all, worthy of a four star, but the bathroom could use some renovation.
