The Beaufort is a privately owned boutique hotel located in the heart of the exclusive Knightsbridge district moments away from Harrods. The hotel is enveloped in soft, calm colors with elegant maple furnishings and an overall decor given to comfort and luxury. It's a boutique hotel that offers luxury and comfort. The intimate atmosphere of the Beaufort has been likened to a private members club, and it's no wonder: on entering this boutique hotel the first impression is one of sheer delight as the scent of fresh flowers permeates the foyer. Original English watercolour paintings gracefully charm the walls whilst the contemporary styled sitting room exudes warmth and comfort. Included in the rates are a fabulous afternoon cream tea with homemade scones and all drinks from the bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from 3pm-11pm. Initially shown to a small but comfortable single room, but broken pipe outside window was making a lot of noise so the hotel moved me to a much bigger double for the same price. The staff could not have been more polite or helpful. Opted to try room service which was a mistake. Again staff we great but the food was not.

We ended a two week trip in London, and spent three nights at the Beaufort. It was quiet, yet only a block in from Brompton Road. An easy walk to the tube stop. A great neighborhood to wander through. Central and very quiet. Lovely. Everything is done by staff to make you feel welcome and at home.

it was a 10-15 minute walk to either of the nearest tube stops. so staying there could be a problem for some, but well worth the effort. because the property is small with like number of guests, i noticed the staff graciously helping many couples, as well as us, with their planning, etc. for the coming days. is was just a wonderful experience!!

DisappointmentThe website belies reality as this boutique hotel is significantly smaller than its website would suggest. Some of the basics are overlooked e.g the shower was poor and the shower head had not been cleaned for sometime and even the sink drain was partially blocked. There is no restaurant and breakfast is served in the room and is of average quality. There is a free mini bar but not in the room; it is in the lounge adjacent to the small reception area.
