Excellent small hotel attached to a quaint pub serving excellent food. Log cabin type rooms, simply but superbly decorated and appointed, good size rooms and bathroom, very very clean. Only 5 minutes from main road links and very easy to find, quietly located and excellent views of countryside.Would strongly recommend a stay at this hotel.

fablious place to stay, booked within 2 hours of arriving, very lucky to find such a place. Staff excellent and friendly, had to wait until after 9.00 pm for table for dinner but well worth the wait. Mon & Tues special 3 courses for £12.95 so restaurant packed but excellent food worth waiting for. Good location from motorway only 5-10 minutes.best value for money i have had for a while and would definately return next time in area.

The room my family had was quite nice. Although we had thought it was in the Inn, it was part of a separate, reasonably new set of cabins some 20 metres from the Inn. Great setting in the countryside and but close to some major roads means access is good. Comfortable, firm beds although rather creaky. Good size ensuite bathroom. What we paid was reasonable but there was a sign that prices are to increase, which in my opinion may make this stay expensive for what is offered.

Staff where very helpful, accomodating and thoughtful. Provided details of local walks, reserved tables, provided bag checking and so on. I realise these are usual , but it was done without fuss or effort and was offerred , not requested. Food was excellent, fresh and local, not pre cooked . The pub and restaurant has great atmosphere and prices where very fair . Very good value for money and would go there again. Lovely quiet little spot , with lots of thoughtful touches . Recommended.

Great location but not great for a business tripVery comfortable room, clean and modern - I felt safe and secure as a lone female. Fantastic location - easy to find and completely in the country whilst being very close to main roads for access to M20. Room was well equipped with some nice touches - ie the filter coffee which was very welcome first thing in the morning. Plenty of parking on site, although spaces for hotel guests were taken by visitors to the adjacent pub and also by two long lorries belonging to builders working on site, which took up four parking spaces each, which made parking difficult on arrival mid evening. Suggested improvements to the room - a coat hook on the back of the door for wet coats as only hanging space is in the wardrobe. Also, a small fridge would be helpful for keeping water cold and for storing food items needed for lunch the following day. No mobile phone signal and no phone in the room - so any emergencies during pub closing hours (overnight) would not be easy to manage. Some noise from fellow guests arriving back at the rooms after pub closing - seating outside the rooms encouraged further socialising until well after midnight - not ideal for me as I was staying on business and needed to be out very early the following morning, but great for a group of friends. I'm not sure I would use the hotel again for a business trip - although I would definitely return for a short break with family or friends.
