We arrived in the evening of probably the coldest night of the year to the warmest of welcomes. Very warm and homely farmouse, Greeted with homebaked goodies, tea and cider from the farm! Comfortable quiet rooms and delightful dining room. All our familiy's dietry needs catered for... really enjoyed our breakfast and followed it with a walk around the frosty orchard in the morning. Thanks for a very reviving and hospitable stay.

A piece of rural paradise! My wife and I really loved our stay at The Broome. The accommodation was very comfortable, the hosts, John and Hilary were very friendly, the food was excellent, and the cider was lovely!!The break was a birthday/fathers day treat from our children, and it was the best gift that they could have given to us! The walk around the orchards is lovely and peaceful, and the whole area is very picturesque and tranquil. The alpacas are gorgeous! We've never had such a satisfying and delicious breakfast as we had at the Broome. We would definitely visit again.

Warmth, cosiness and friendly hostsThis was a pleasant experience with John and his wife offering a warm welcome. A nice cup of tea on arrival was very welcome with the choice of a glass of Cider if we wished. This is a really nice place to stay with a touch of the family atmosphere.

A good find!We received a wonderful reception, Hilary coming out to greet us as we parked the car and we were immediately made to feel welcome with the offer of cider and cake. Kathy my wife who is a coeliac and cannot eat wheat flour was offered a bowl of summer fruits and cream instead. The breakfasts were supurb - both in quantity and quality and John even supplied some glutenfree toast for Kathy - a first in any B&B for us. The bedroom was comfortable but could have done with a lick of paint to freshen it up if we were to give it top marks.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, sunny evening on the terrace, and lovely walks around the orchard. Our hosts were extremely helpful and accomodating and we certainly will stay again if they aren't full when we return to the area (which we do regularly)

Wonderful rural B&B on a working cider farm/orchardWe had a wonderful short stay at The Broome. We wished we had the afternoon to enjoy the surrounding grounds but unfortunately arrived late in the evening and although slightly off the main road it was reasonably easy to find, and we had a warm welcome including a jug of cider. Comfortable bed in a clean room, and an absolutely delicious breakfast that included a thick and meaty cider sausage among the cooked breakfast, and apple juice, cereals, fruit, toasts etc. We then walked it off through the apple orchards/farm. Can highly recommend this a great rural place to stay.

Overnighter at the BroomeJohn & Hilary are very welcoming and were friendly and available throughout our (too brief) stay. Farm produced Cider and cake on arrival were very much appreciated after a few hours journey on a warm day and taking it on the delightful terrace was a great start to the stayover.Broome is a wonderful house full of character in a lovely setting. All of the farm is accessible and all there are friendly. The signed walk around the apple and pear orchards is very pleasant. Moreover, it is a comfortable home for guests to enjoy. This leads to our one regret and a tip for future guests. We were unable to take our evening meal there because they were fully booked and we should have called in advance to make a reservation. We knew from the dining room and appetite-whetting cooking aromas it would be good and other guests confirmed this! John did direct us to a good alternative a short drive away.

Great Breakfast! On our arrival Hilary was very welcoming, and our room was very comfortable with everything we could need. The sitting room provided for guests was very well equipped with books, information relating to the area and board games. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the quality of the breakfast was excellent, Real Food!!We would have liked to sample the dinner menu but unfortunately not available on a Monday or Tuesday, instead we ate out at a pub called the New Inn (turn right onto the A49 and then after about quarter of a mile turn left, signposted Abergavenny, and the pub is just on the junction) We also had an enjoyable drink and snack at the pub just near the village stores, think it was called the Yew Tree, the Landlord, Staff and regular customers were very friendly and made us welcome. All in all we had a very relaxing couple of days and would definitely recommend it to others.

Perfect ChoiceI echo many of the previous reviews - our stay was exactly how others had described it. We were welcomed and looked after like family. It was a very relaxing stay, where you are free to roam the farm and sample the cider in the shop. A delicious jug of cider and cake was also provided on arrival for which no charge was made. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open on Sunday evenings (their only day off) so we went to the Red Lion for a meal - I wouldn't particularly recommend eating there. As you will have to drive anyway, go a bit further afield.
