General Description

The hotel has 22 bedrooms with a modern contemporary feel, whilst the ground floor bar, restaurant and garden area have a more traditional ambiance. The present owners fully refurbished the hotel and reinstated the original 1930s wood panelled lift (elevator) following the updating of the motor room after it had been decommissioned for almost 15 years. All our rooms have free wifi access, flat screen TVs, hair dryers, irons, in room safe, teacoffee facilities, work table and secondary glazing. The Hotel consists of four storeys with brick walls and flat roofs mainly of the 19th Century and later. It incorporates a nucleus dating from the second half of the 18th Century. The front five middle bays of the three lower storeys are original as is the fantastic oak staircase through the centre of the building. The meeting room on the first floor is lined with original fielded panelling, with moulded skirting, dado-rails and cornices. It is suitable for meetings of up to 20 people or for private dining. Note:The lift does not stop at the meeting room floor. From Sunday and throughout the week we offer a quiet, relaxed environment which is great as a base for touring the historic city or as a business stop over. At the weekend our bar is a vibrant, lively environment where locals, tourists and visitors alike, enjoy great food, watching sport or chatting in friendly surroundings. On weekend evenings our bar is one of Salisburys most popular venues and opens until 2am, with D.J. entertainment. You can enjoy breakfast from 7.30 until 10 am Monday to Saturday and from 8 until 10am on Sunday. Food is available until 10pm daily, except Sunday when it is available until 9pm. We want to be famous for offering great customer service and for this reason, if you book with us and are not fully satisfied, please tell a member of our team and give us the opportunity to correct any issues you may have. We have a selection of adjoining rooms to suit families and groups or there are single and double en suite rooms available. Parking is available directly outside while you check in and unload your bags, after which longer term parking is available just 2 minutes away in Brown Street pay and display with free parking between 6pm and 8am. Free Wifi is available in the public areas and in the bedrooms.
