All you need!!I was staying in this hotel over the weekend of the Ice hockey play offs and since most of my budget was going to be spent on drink I was looking for a low budget hotel, I found this in the Clarence hotel. £25 a night will get you a room with a double and single bed (which are surprisingly comfortable), tv, coffee and tea facilities. Bathroom with a shower that is better than i have seen im some other far more expensive hotels. And most important some great staff ( Graham, who is the manager, a girl who's name i didnt get but who always seem to be there, and a SOUTH AFRICAN guy, not Kiwi)The hotel is great for stag/hen parties and there were 2 parties over the weekend of my stay and even though my room was directly above the beer garden I was very pleased that everything was very sound proof and i didnt experience any problems.The only bad points were the ceiling tiles in the bath room, which were gonna get sorted out and the location...its not the best part of town, but fortunately a taxi from the centre of town will only cost £3,50 during the night.Obviously for £25 you cant expect the most luxourious place around, but if your looking for a place to lay your head, have a shower and were there are honest kind staff...the Clarence hotel has all you need.

Very handy for Nottingham centre, on busy road so noisy but on very good bus route. Bedlinen excellent. Breakfast very good.

easy to find (once you navigate your way round the one way system!) with plenty of main road parking (although there are some restrictions during the week, i stayed on a saturday night and there are no restrictions on weekends). hotel was clean and landlord was welcoming and friendly. room was tidy and sheets were clean. tv had basic terrestrial channels. did not get up for breakfast in morning although it was in with the price. there are also a few take away places nearby if you fancied. not too far from city centre which i was informed was £4 in a taxi. all in all excellent value for money for a shot stay.

Reasonably clean and tidy, however we did not know this was going to be on a main road into the city. Therefor the noise level outside the hotel from traffic and people using the street generally was more than we are used to. The staff were friendly and helpful but when we arrived back from visiting relatives later in the evening (around 10.30pm) we were greeted on the door by a chap who thought it funny to refuse us entry. for some moments we thought he was serious until the manager told he does this all the time when he has had drink! Well, I for one do not like to be treated like that thanks

The hotel is extremely convienent, in an excellent location. The bar is straightforward and simple with a pool table and darts board. For what you pay this hotel is ace.
