Didnt realise there was no hotel car park until we arrived. Fortunately the NCP car park is 100 metres away so not a long walk, just be prepared to £5.10 a day to you visit in fees. ( free on Sundays )The breakfast menu displayed in the bedroom guest book offered both vegetarian cooked breakfast and kippers options, alas none of the waiting staff the following morning offered us any choices , assuming we would help ourselves to the bacon and sausages or even instructed us how the buffet system works which was quite disappointing.

Good welcome on arrival, all details were in place ready prepared for our arrival. The willingness of the reception to meet any desire we had was identified as 'old school' service that added comfort to the stay

good central location and close to railway station. Lovely big room with huge balcony. Extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good

The hotel itself is fine - although our room was a bit small. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent with a good selection, all freshly cooked. Location wise, it is close to the shopping centre and if you like to be close to the centre for a night out then it is very convenient. 24hr parking at the hotel really good value at £5.

Arrive on New Years Eve and was suprised about how good the hotel looked. On booking in was met by two receptionists who were very helpful and amde me feel welcome. We had a small problem with the room as it smelt of smoke (although smoking is banned in the hotel?) I spoke with reception and they moved me to a better room on the 3rd floor swiftly and apologised for my inconvenience! Very good hotel and perfectly placed for all the bars and clubc on Wind Street.One negative was the price (£120 for the night) but it was New Years Eve!

An enjoyable stay, a good breakfast and friendly serice throughout. Three relatively minor points: air conditioning a little noisy, water not hot at 8am (but OK for a bath) and breakast coffee far too strong (but I am sure that it would have been changed if I had asked).
