In a city of millions of people, the Iroquois hotel makes you feel like you're not just another traveler. My 8 year old daughter and I traveled to NYC (an hour from our home) for a mother-daughter weekend. When I reserved online, I let the hotel know I'd be coming with an 8 year old. The concierge called the ask about our plans and offered a more comfortable room than the one I had chosen online. When we arrived, everyone from the door man to the bell boy (okay, he was definitely not a boy--at least 70 years old, but you know what I mean) to the front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was recently renovated with outrageously comfy beds (down comforters, poofy pillows, delightful mattress) and a marble bath. The bell boy/ man showed us where everything was and was so sweet. The room was smallish if you have a family of 4, but for two it was absolutely fine. THe only thing that was not divine about the room was the view--we looked out on a fire escape, but we didn't really care because we were only in the room to sleep. On my daughter's bed, the staff had left an adorable child-size bathrobe and slippers, a coloring book, a Slinky, a Kids Time Out New York magazine and other odds and ends. The concierge left me a folder of great kid-friendly activities and coupons and VIP passes. It was pouring, and the door man determined that my umbrella was way too small, so he presented us with an oversized Iroquois umbrella. Dessert was tasty, but continental bfast should have a reduced rate for kids who only eat one muffin with glass of juice.

"What a gem in Manhattan! The rooms are midtown size (read compact) but they were nicely updated and clean. It's close to everything, really quiet and had a wonderful staff. Room service breakfast is a great Manhattan deal..."

"The Iroquois is a wonderful small, quiet, quaint hotel. The location is ideal. The service is excellent. As with all NYC hotels, the rooms are a bit cramped."

It is right off of Times Square - close to everything but tucked away on a quiet side street. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpfull and always make me feel right at home. The rooms are a little small but it's NY after all and to be expected. Beds so comfortable, nice linens, bathroom has a great shower and towels to die for. Have stayed here a number of times and keep coming back because I love it so much.

We stayed here over Easter weekend 2009. Hotel was very nice and clean but extremely small. Rooms were very hot and we were unable to change temperature...stuffy. Could not get the room very dark no room darking drapes only wood blinds and light from street filtered in very distracting and very noisy. Also, no valet parking parking garage short distance down the block gave discount to hotel guests if you had ticket validated. Diner type resturant (Red Flame) few doors down for breakfast reasonable and good. I probably would not stay here again, I like valet parking, bigger rooms and temperature control.

I just can't say enough nice things about the Iroquois Hotel. I had researched for months and trusted past reviews to book the IH. The lobby is cozy like a gentleman's library, with great coffee in the mornings and hot cider in the afternoons and evenings. The room was moderately sized but the luxurious linens, bath towels, robes, turn down service made it especially nice, even a NY Times waiting on the door each morning and free shoe shines at night.Location: PERFECT. We walked everywhere:2blocks to Broadway, Empire State Building, Theaters, Central Park--just everything. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter and I felt safe everywhere we went. I will return again and again to the IH and have already recommended it to friends planning a trip to NY. You will not be disappointed by the Iroquois.

Our first trip to NYC and we wanted to stay in a quintessential Manhatten hotel. We weren't disappointed- Perfect location, beautiful rooms, wonderful restaurant. Deskclerks/doormen weren't particularly knowledgeable about the surrounding area but pleasant enough. Not cheap but left me feeling satisfied.

"We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect for a weekend getaway. Very close to Times Square, shopping, theaters, subways, and many other sites. Front desk staff was very nice and helpfull. Room was well decorated, very comfortable bed. Very safe area, no large crouds in lobby or around hotel. Great little restaurant (Red Flame) next door with amazing club sandwhich. Courteous bell staff, even offered to hold our bags after check-out so we could shop for a few more hours. We will definately stay here again on our next trip to NYC."

Our car actually caught on fire right as we pulled up to the hotel. The bellman ran and got a fire extinguisher and put it out. Within a half hour the manager had our car towed and a repair set up. They handled everything. The room was great and the best part was the flat screen HD TV. Great location.

The Iroquois was a great find. I really liked the room, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was amazing - steps away from Grand Central and Time's Square. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the room we stayed in was larger than most rooms we had stayed in at different hotels in New York.

The Iroquois New Youk was comfortable, clean, has good size rooms with every thing you need at your finger tip. Staff was very friendly, provided abundance of tourist information and were helpful and accomidating. Hotel room had iron, hair dryer, clean comfortable bed, large bathroon (stocked) inc lots of towles and bathrobe. Desk, lots of clothing storage, mimi bar, flat screen tv DVD, 24 hour room service and fitness center. Reasonably priced car service to the airport in seconds after I made the request. Location was PERFECT walk to broadway, resturant row, times square (2 mins), also walk to a lot of the attractions-subway near by to go anywhere. less than 10 min on subway to central park and about 10 to 15 min to go south to WTC Site. Great breakfast diner next door as well as a great resturant in the Hotel. I struggled with selecting a hotel in NY. I wanted clean and value for the money, I made the right choice and would go back, I did meet alot repeat visitors at the Iroquios. Good job.

The focus here is location. The hotel is close to everywhere we were looking to go. The room itself was fine...small and the view was the side of the next building... But the room was clean and comfortable.

This was a Mother-Daughter birthday trip for my 10 year old. The hotel had the perfect location. We were close to Times Square and the theatres. We could also walk to Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park. And it was only a few blocks from the subway, so we also took public transportation. The rooms were clean, the beds were soft and there was a DVD player with movies at the front desk that came in handy. There was also tasty iced tea in the lobby to quench our thirst when we returned late in the afternoon. Other than an unhelpful concierge (she seemed annoyed when I asked her for help), everyone was lovely.

My wife and I enjoyed the hotel very much. The staff helped us whenever we had a question, and provided us with the information needed for getting around the city. The room was what you would expect in NY in terms of size. The bathroom was actualy bigger than expected, and was very nice. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Excellent location. Just two blocks from Times Square. Parking is at a public garage across the street, but if you are a hotel guest you get a discount. The lobby is small but nice. There is a small 'library' with a computer and internet. The staff were mostly friendly. WIRELESS INTERNET IS FREE!! The restaurant is expensive but good food. The room is small but better that the NYC average hotel room size. Room clean, tasteful, comfortable bed. Room service quick. No ramp for stroller or wheelchair to my knowledge, but the staff helped us carry the stroller up the steps each time.

The Iroquois was updated, attractive, well-appointed, comfortable, and convenient to just about everything. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. My only complaint was with the service in the restaurant where, after being ignored, we finally walked out. I was especially disappointed because the menu looked terrific!

First time staying at The Iroquois. Front desk staff was outstanding. Our room was quaint and had everything and more than we needed. Nightly turn-down service and chocolate was a great surprise. Great location. Close to Times Square without the noise of Times Square.

We just loved the Hotel Iroquois. It is in a wonderful location and the entire place is immaculate. One of the cleanest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in and the hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. Just a few minutes walk to subway and the NYC attractions. A real find in a busy city.

We were with another couple for a long week end to see the sights of uptown and downtown Manhattan and take in a show. Didn't have enough time to shop 5th Ave but had a couple great tours. Enjoyed Central Park on a Sunday afternoon.
