Great location, free parking and free wi-fi - excellent. It's a bit higgledy-piggledy, but that's its charm. Beer prices reasonable and an OK breakfast. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Room was a big disappointment. Damp, musty, old-fashioned, carpeted bathroom. Food in restaurant excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar area and downstairs toilets very nice and clean, pity about the room.

Worth staying here just for the food. The meal, service by the staff and the real ale was first class. The only down side was we had a room at the front and it was a liitle noisy but there again it was a friday night.

Remeber it is an old pub and the floors creak at night-Not suitable for disabled persons on 2nd and third floors.[Stairs too steep} Otherwise for the price you cant fault it. Food, and location execleent. New decor in rooms.

. The main parts of the hotel have the appearance of a 2 satr but the staff and the bedroom itself were more like a 3 star. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room bright and sunny with very good quality toiletries. The restaurant was a little on the small side but the food very good. You do have to book if you require evening meal as it is very popular with non-residents

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is very central - walking distance of everything, with parking. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Decor overall was a bit shabby (difficult to be otherwise in such an old building). Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and good quality.

The only downside of this wonderful hotel is the steep stairs, which older guests could find difficult to climb. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Food in the restraunt is EXCELLENT,service is first class. This is a hotel full of character.Bedroom was spotlessly clean, bed extremely comfortable.A big plus for this is PET FRIENDLY.

Room and foodWE were lucky enough to be allocated Room 11 which was very comfortable and spacious. The evening meal was absolutely superb and the staff in attendance both friendly and very helpful. The atmoshere throughout the whole hotel was one of comfort and friendliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and will happily come again another time we are in that part of the world.

Just about exactly what we expected, having passed through Ross before & called in, making a note of it for the future.Old & quaint, with plenty of character, good beer & friendly staff.Food a mixed bag - some good some average - when good, not enough of it - but not a real negative.Room fine - comfortable & with everything we needed.
