all fine but the telephone in my room didn't work and the wireless connection was very patchy and kept breaking up...

room arrangementsI booked a double deluxe room but was moved to a standard twin with the beds pushed together which was very uncomfortable when travelling as a couple. Not suitable for a romantic retreat.

Room 216 was very small (pokey even) and not at all as the hotel advertises/pictures on its website - individually designed/big tv's etc. For the "late room" rate it represents reasonable value for money but do not think you will get a top class room at a bargain rate. Breakfasts were good but not all the food was laid out until about 15 mins after opening at 7am. I would stay again if I could be sure of getting a room similar to those described/pictured on the hotels website at the "late rooms" rate. If you can't get one of the better rooms you can get as good elsewhere for circa £85 at prevailing rates.

I was in given a 'corner room' with traffic on two sides. As the room was not double glazed there was some traffic noise. This may be a problem to light sleepers. The food was excellent with a friendly atmosphere.

Excellent position, less than excellent serviceRead the mixed reviews of this hotel but wanted to stay close to Windsor for 1 night at Easter.Hotel is in an excellent position next to Datchet railway station. However, I fail to see how this can be classed as a 4* hotel. Room was very small and could do with redecorating. We were asked if we wanted to dine in the restaurant that evening (Sunday) and were shown a menu which looked good so we booked a table. On being seated in the restaurant that evening we were given a completely different, very limited table d'hote menu and told that the A La Carte menu we had been shown earlier was not available on Sundays. This appeared to happen to several people. Had we known this earlier on we would have gone into Windsor to eat instead. However, the food was OK. Breakfast the following morning was a complete shambles. There were no cups or glasses, they had run out of bacon and the eggs and sausages were cold. There were only 2 Eastern European staff on duty with nobody apparantly in charge. I would certainly have asked for a refund if I had payed the rack rate of £135 - £200 per night as this hotel is certainly not worth anything like that rate.

Wonderful hotel great staff..We were really impressed with this one....a really continental feel with tables outside to give it that pavement cafe feel. We stayed in the annex over the road which was very comfortable with a walk in shower and seperate bath. There was a wedding in the hotel when we stayed but we were not left to feel in the way while the event was on. Easy access to Windsor and London by train from the station next door so no parking problems when we got there as the car park has security gates.....

A great place to stay when visiting Windsor. We found the Manor to be a very nice Hotel, Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were pleasant and the 4 poster bed really comfortable. The room we had did not have digital TV as advertised, but a large TV with Sky was situated in the Bar area. The full English breakfast was ample and provided on a self service basis. We thought the Hotel restaurant was a little expensive but meals in the bar were of a high quality and good value. The Hotel is sited very close to the rail station which is handy if you do not want to drive into Windsor and pay to park for any length of time when sight seeing!

we were given a room to begin with which had broken curtains no heating and was extremely noisy so we complained and was put into another room also with broken curtains but at least warm. At breakfast there was one young lad working for most of the time we were present and he was completely out of his depth i.e no hot food was ready and when it was it came out at spontaneous times, there was no tea or coffee, everything kept running out and tables were not laid properly. We did bring all this to the attention of the person at reception and he politely refunded our money for breakfast, but all in all we were very dis-satisfied and will not be using this hotel again which is unfortunate because it is very easy to get to and is set in a very nice location. I feel with a lot more attention to detail and more courteous customer service it could be good.

Not as decribed on the website. Hotel is located in a heavily traffic congested area next to the rail station, parking is behind security gates in the in the front garden of a nearby house! The small room had two single beds pushed togethe, not the double I booked, a small bathroom and a window that opens to a roof filled with air conditioning machinary. Overall overpriced and dissapointing, avoid!

The room was in need of some repairs. I did not think that it was worth the money comparing it to other rooms in the area. There was no price tag against the menu. That is why I decided to eat elsewhere.

We only stayed for one night, so when we booked we knew it was going to be a small room. However what the information failed to mention was that there was not enough room to walk around the bed without hitting the wardrobe, chair and dressing table. Nor could you open the bathroon door without moving the dressing table chair. The bathroom only had a shower and the only way to fill the kettle was with cups, the sink was too small to put the kettle in and fill, there was a plug socket hanging off the wall, tiles missing in the bathroom and due to the size of the room was unbearable without the windows open due to the heat. However with aircraft flying over the top a bit difficult to sleep. Would not ever stay again. S

Hotel in good postion for Heathrow airport and got a good rate from late rooms. Food was good. The only thing that spoiled it was the size of the room. In fact the last time I was in a room that small I was making a phone call. Still had early flight so did nt spend that much time in it.

We knew nothing about this hotel except that it was 4 star, in the area we wanted to be, and giving a good dinner, bed and breakfast offer. We were apprehensive beforehand but were utterly reassured from the moment we arrived. Staff very friendly, courteous, helpful, and the Manager?? Owner??? was also very helpful and was seen about the place. Food very good, especially dinner.

Car parking is not ideal, limited at the Hotel, the overflow parking is up the road across the level crossing (a pain if you have heavy cases and the bariers down). The rooms are smaller than average and often awkward as a lot of them are in the roof. I up graded to a sensible size room but I would still have been beter of in a budget hotel (I should know I stay in a lot of them). Resturant is pricey and menu limited. Most of the Staff are freindly. A good nights sleep will be pot luck dependent on the location of your room.

2 night stayThe first room was a little small, but the receptionist willingly upgraded me to a larger room.Narrow corridors and no lift, so don't take large suitcases, but otherwise fine.

Had a great stay. No problems. Room was warm on arrival so the misses was chuffed. Stayed in the small room but really like it. Nice restaurant and bar. Didn't take a look at the gym like I would normally do in a hotel but believe one exists.
