Unfortunately for the cost of the hotel, I would have expected more of a five star standard. Although, very comfortable and quite lacking in little luxuries. Take your own shampoo, conditioner and flannel. Restaurant menus looks very good on internet, however, no information was given on arrival, so chose to eat elsewhere. No information pack on attractions within the local area, to browse at your leisure in your room.

We enjoyed our stay, however we did not feel that the Manor House was really worth the money we paid. It is only just out of Bath as is stated on the website, however there are probably cheaper options in the city centre if you research or book early enough. We had some trouble finding the B & B as there were roads cut off and we had to take some very small lanes to get there, however this was not to be helped, but it would have been good to know prior to our trip. As for the room itself, my husband was a bit disappointed that the room we stayed in did not have a shower, only a bathtub, however this did not worry me. The hot water tap at the basin was not working and we were told that this would be fixed, however it wasn't, but we did not find this to be a problem really. The overall presentation and comfort level was quite good, the bed was comfortable which was the main thing!We enjoyed the cooked breakfasts each morning. The Full English is cooked fresh and there was juice and cereal, as well as freshly baked/warmed bread, which was lovely. Overall, the welcome was warm and we did really enjoy our stay, we would just be more likely to stay closer in to Bath itself if we were to holiday around this district again. Be aware if you do not like animals I would consider staying somewhere else as the dog and cats (which we thought were lovely) do roam around the house at their leisure. We liked the goose in the garden as well. The garden was lovely, small and cosy, it was just \\a shame that the weather made it hard for us to enjoy it more.
