merchant hell hotelThis has to be one of the worst hotels l have ever used. The place dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment, Breakfast consists of cornflakes, no hot food, no bar. The hotel is above a nightclub which has the most horrendous ear bursting music filling your room until the early hours of 4am on a friday, then 5am on a saturday, Then you have the pleasure of listening to the drunks fighting and arguing in the street, after complaining to the staff about this we were told they were sick of this and have already complained to the owners of the club hmmmmm. The room was also freezing cold heating was only on for short period although when on radiator was barely warm. PLease do not use this hotel if your looking for peace and quiet. we were totally misserable as well as shattered.

I had to cancel my booking, which I did with 10 days notice. Yet the hotel charged my Visa card, claiming that I arrived and stayed. I have provided proof in writing from my employer to show that I was working elsewhere in the country and could not have been in Manchester. However, they ignore my correspondence. Only deal with these people in writing or email, or preferably do not deal with them at all.

Be aware, with this one, you get exactly what you pay for. Literally a small room,with a lock on the door.The room was quite shabby though thankfully clean, the same cannot be said for the shower room.Bad enough there was only one for the enitre floor, but it was also FILTHY. Black mould, orange fat-stained grout and items dropped on the floor on the Saturday morning were still there by the Sunday morning, so no evidence of cleaning. The hotel is also quite cold, so take a jumper.At least there is a TV and the beds are comfy enough.If you're really on a budget or out all day and most of the night, it would probably do.Cheap,but not cheerful.
