Good on location, cleanliness and comfort Service was a little inconsistent - some staff were too preoccupied with looking hip than in being helpful.

The location of the Muse could not have been better! 1/2 block from Times Square and a block or 2 from the theatres. Very large (for NYC) rooms and very clean.

Great location, nice rooms andhelpful staff. The bathroom was a little dirty and a little smelly. Great location, quiet and friendly staff. The room was of a nice size and offered all items that were needed. The TV was a little challenge with 2 remotes, I would stay there again.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of cable cars into city. Safety concerns after dark outside the motel. Parking was $28/night. The hotel staff made this a great place to stay. They were very helpful in lining up activities and giving directions. The hotel is within a few blocks of the cable cars and other public transportation. Parking is expensive anywhere in the city including at the hotel. The hotel is in a nice area, however at night there were many homeless people outside the hotel. We did feel safe though, but were cautious about going out alone after dark.

Location to times square. Lobby fancy rooms boring and small. Room was small and un inviting the total opposite to the lobby area which was modern and classy. It said I would stay at 11 floors or above and I got put on the 3rd floor. Basically this place didn¿t meet my expectations for a 4 star pricy hotel.

I have stayed at the Muse, a Kimpton Hotel, twice this year. Each visit, I was impressed with the staff, the rooms, and amenities. The location is great! Just one half block away from the hustle of Time's Square. And only one and a half blocks from 5th Ave. shopping. The only discomfort I experienced during my stay, was that the air unit was broken in my room. July in New York can be, well, how shall I put it, d*&% muggy. They sent an engineer up right away, but the unit was broken and needed to be replaced. They did offer to walk me to a sister property, but that was six blocks away. The manager comped my in-room breakfast, and I was ushered to a new room in the morning on a higher floor, and a slightly larger room. All told, they did a great job of making up for the equipment failure. On a side note, the rooms are large, and so are the bathrooms by Manhattan standards! I love this place!

Great location! Walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Center Hotel staff had a lot of attitude! Great location and nice size rooms for NYC. The lobby is quite small and the concierge and reception desk are one in the same. All the folks I interacted with at that desk were not very helpful and didn't have very friendly personalities. When I asked for help getting some train information, the first response of the women behind the desk was that I should go on-line and look it up because she wasn't sure. When I told her I didn't have a computer with me, she looked it all up without a problem.

Comfortable bed and great shower. Very clean. Friendly staff. Staff made mistakes on room assignment and room service. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel quality. It was a great location for Broadway shows. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. There was nightly wine tasting in the lobby. The staff made a few errors while we were there. They first assigned us to a room that was already occupied. They made several room service mistakes. Leaving off items that were requested. Our TV (which was a new flat mounted LCD) went out and had to be repaired while we waited. All these were minor compared to the overall value. We would stay there again.

Location, staff, and size of hotel were all great for our needs. An MTV reality show was being filmed during the stay, and the 'stars' were annoying. If you want to stay near Times Square and the Theatre District but not be in the middle of the madness, this is a perfect small, well run hotel. All the shows are within a five minute walk, but a half block in the other direction takes you to Rockefeller Center and a somewhat quieter area of the city.

The room had very nice style. Too noisy! The hotel facilities are nicely modeled. However, I asked several hours before we arrived to be put in a room that would be quiet. We were put in a room right on 46th st. The noise from construction and garbage trucks made it impossible to sleep. After we arrived, there were no other rooms available. Also my wife sat down on one of the benches in the lobby and there was gum on it; so she got gum on her new clothes.

The staff was so courteous and friendly, they treated us like family! The beds were very comfortable, and the robes were plush! The concierge, Marti, was outstanding, getting us great seats to see The Color Purple! Breakfast, our favorite meal, in the dining area was divine and delicious! The bell men were courteous and good looking, too! We had a ball! Thanks for making our first trip to New York fun, enjoyable, and an overall success!!

The Muse is a lovely hotel, with a very accommodating and friendly staff. The rooms are small but the space is well used and beautifully decorated in an Art Deco style; super comfortable bed, top of the line bed linens and a flat screen TV. There's a free wine gathering every evening from 5 to 6 and a free NY Times at your door, which I really appreciated. An excellent restaurant restaurant called District. It's between 6th and 7th Avenues, which makes it an ideal location--near both Times Square and shopping on 5th Avenue, near an F line subway stop, a few blocks from MOMA. I was extremely happy with everything about the hotel.

We stayed this weekend. What a great hotel. The rooms were immaculate, and comfortable. The bed was great, and it was really quiet for a hotel in the middle of the city. The staff from the bellman to the front desk were so accomodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and we will stay again. Thanks for making our anniversary a great time. Can't wait to return.

We stayed at The Muse after the online company called to tell us constuction was going on at our first choice and we really lucked out. The location is perfect,You walk to the corner and you are in TimesSquare. The beds and bedding are luxurious. The rooms are big and the bathrooms have great toiletries. The place we first booked had scaffolds all around it and was very noisy so we were very happy we got to stay at the Muse. And if you are someone who has never been to the city(we were a few women from tennessee) you can't go wrong.

Nice bath products, robe comfy beds and clean bathroom. This place is hip" but not too snooty." Busy, noisy street. Request a non-smoking room early. The Muse was surprisingly comfortable. I would recommend it for a short business trip or shopping trip if you need to be near midtown. It is not a good place for families and the street is a little sketchy at night. If they had wi-fi in the rooms I would come back more often.

The location can not be beat for visiting NYC. You can walk most places and if you are taking the subway, there are several stations close by. Even though you are close to Times Square the hotel is very quiet. The rooms were very nice. They were plenty big enough for 4 people and the bath room was over sized. We enjoyed the coffe in the morninga, along with the NY Times. In the evening we made time for the wine reception. The gentleman that worked the front door were always very pleasant, courteous, and helpful. We got a great rate through Travelocity. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting NY.

Right in the heart of all the activity of the Theatre District and a short walk to everything in Mid-town. Rooms were typically NY small but very well appointed with wonderful beds. The Hotel is finishing renovations so although there were great flat screen TV's the channels were limited until the new system is installed. Rooms were upscale and clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Concierge was great at getting us transportation back to JFK. One big drawback is that the building next door was recently demolished and they are still jack hammering out the old foundation. Ask for a room away from that side of the building if you want to sleep past 5:30 a.m. Overall, a very positive experience in a great location. It was a good hotel if you travel with teens (and don't mind a lack of privacy due to a smaller room) with a nice size bath and big flufy towels. We do plan on staying there again on our next trip to the Big Apple.

Our family stayed at The Muse Dec 21st - 24th and we were exceptionally pleased with the hotel and the location. From check-in to check-out everything at The Muse was as a hotel should be. The whole staff was attentive and very friendly. It was so nice to see the check-in staff taking care of a guest's puppy while they were out. We had 2 rooms and both were clean and very nicely appointed. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. My boys and I liked the L'Occitane citrus scented soap so much, my wife bought us some when we got home. We wull be back.
