Warm welcome, nice bar. Good location in Nottingham. Unfortunately no food, as chef knocked off early. Shower tray needs mould removed.

Nice budget optionStaff very friendly. Room small but quite cute, bathroom basic but functional. Breakfast was good. Limited on-street parking (free after 1800), multi-storey a short walk away. Reasonable value for money.

Very friendly staff, room could have been cleaner though and needed redecorating. Great central location though!

After reading other reviews I was apprehensive about my stay at this hotel but to my surprise I found the staff friendly, the room clean and containing all the facilities I required as described on the website. The hotel is in a nice location a few minutes walk from the castle and a few more to the town centre. I could smell the drains a little when running water in the bathroom and Ok the room was a little on the small side but still good value for money.

I thought that this was a charming small bed and breakfast and being older and travelling alone made me feel very safe. My room was comfortable and warm and quite old fashioned but the whole building is old and Edwardian so i think the 'hotel chain' style would not really fit the character. The staff and customers in the bar downstairs were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. It is a couple of minutes from the bustle of the town but quiet as in the business area very near the castle. Quaint and small and good value for money.

We had a fantastic time in Nottingham seeing Liza Minelli in concert! The Hotel was clean, the tapas was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, we will be booking again. Thank you.

Playoff Weekend TripMy partner and I stayed here for four nights during the Ice Hockey Playoffs, we searched for a reasonably priced hotel and the hotel was one of the cheapest available in Nottingham during this very busy weekend. The four nights totalled £120 instead of the £60 a night charged elsewhere.Accordingly i didn't really expect much, however i was pleasantly surprised. Located in the city centre a 5-10 walk from the train station, 10-15 mins from the NIC Arena, it was never going to be very quiet. However it was much quieter than i expected (APart from Monday when there was a rather load delivery truck woke us up). Close to the busy nightlife and within easy walking distance of lots of pubs and clubs.The rooms are old fashioned but extremally clean and homely, the staff are extremally friendly and eager to please. The fact that there is only six rooms means you get a friendly personal greeting whenever you walk through the door.I will definately be staying here again and recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiiting nottingham in the near future whom wants a change from the large chains.

Just the jobSmall atmospheric place in a great location bang in the city centre but on a very quiet road so outside noise wasn't a problem. Friendly, pleasant staff. Whilst the room wasn't the last word in style it was perfectly fine and, most importantly, clean. There may be plumbing issues in the building though, the shower was a little weak and there was all sorts of banging noises when the toilet flush was pulled. Everything worked fine though and my stay was a pleasant one. I would definately used this place again.

Nottingham for a Concerttom a long time to find the wee hotel. Both myself and my friend both got lost on the way - please everyone, note that Google maps has this Hotel pinpointed in the wrong location. Nice welcome upon arrival. Liked the room a lot - It was tucked away at the back - and the tray of Tea and coffee was well stocked - beds were comfy and I felt relaxed. Bar nice - but food seemed overpriced. We didn't try it though. My friend had a different room and was disturbed in the night by revellers on the street. Breakfast was a continental which was my choice, but really felt like I was sitting in the bar - thank goodness I wasn't hung over too much... Parking also... none available outside the hotel on the road - just bad luck for us - but personally I would prefer my parking to be assured. Saying all this - It was a very reasonable price and very central.. The staff were good and we were given good instruction as how to gain entry after hours..

The location was ideal as only a stone's throw away from the castle where we were visiting the Beer Festival! I was a little disappointed with our room tho! The bedroom was small but adequate, but on entering the en-suite I was greeted by an awful stench, which never disappeared! Another problem was parking. We had to use the NCP car park which proved expensive . We had previously stayed at a dearer hotel around the corner ,but had been given discount for the same car park .Consequently I feel that if we return we'll use the more expensive hotel again,as more comfortable and there was hardly any difference in price, seeing as we got a reduction in car-park fees!!!
