The restaurant, pool area & beach has a grogeous setting. The lighting in the rooms needs to be improved. Staying at the Palms was a delight. The room was spacious, the service was excellent and the public areas were beautifull decorated and landscaped. We were a little disappointed that the spa has not been completed yet, since spa is in the name of the resort. Nonetheless, we completely enjoyed our stay.

The Palms is in a great location on Collins Ave. The boardwalk and ocean are steps away and the pool is nice! The rooms need some updating and the valet parking is pricey. Would stay there again!

Fantastic hotel, bedroom was beautiful and quite large. Lovely pool area and leads directly onto the beach - couldn't ask for nicer. Had a lovely stay in the Palms and would definitely go back.

"For me it does not deserves the four star rating, it has the ammenities of a 4 star but not the quality. The smell and looks of the hallways were terrible, even my 4 year old noticed it. For me bathrooms are crucial, and honestly I did not take a shower. Other than that not to bad, but I am not staying again even for the cheapest price."

The hotel lobby and grounds were very nice. They automatically charge me $13 for use of pool tools and internet. Hotel room needs a little more cleaning. Overall I would probably stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. With all the outdoor comforts it made it very relaxing. The pool area and beach accessiblity were a little confusing due to construction, however, once there, it was very enjoyable and relaxing. The Tiki bar was great to get burgers and fries after the long plane ride. I have already recommended to friends.

Clean and neat rooms well appointed. Pool area just ok. Great location right on Miami Beach. Very well appointed rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area could use a little makeover.

Excellent staff and professionalism. Extra charges and fees. The entire area is under construction and so was a bit noisy, but again expected. The overall experience was terrific. The surprises were the extra charges, taxes, fees, etc. Surprised at the end of stay with the additional charges being more than the room itself.

My gf and I stayed from July 17-20.2009, attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The hotel staff were exceptional! Very clean, responsive service. Housekeeping a bit slow but we make allowances for that - maybe they are short-staffed (?) Didn't matter to us. Room service & food for breakfast-in-bed scrumptuous! Claude at the beach was amazing - down2earth, helpful, attentive. Hats off to The Palms Hotel and Spa. Will definitely be coming back! BD & Farah, Toronto & Ottawa, ON Canada

Very nice hotel. Some construction going on but not obtrusive. Nice LCD TV in rooms. Good restaurant on site (but pricey). Great pool and beach area!! Would definitely stay again!

Beatifult hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful - everyone was very nice. The pool was excellent. We loved the direct access to the beach and the hotel service that was available at the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel. Only downside was the extremely high cost of alcohol and meals. But with reasonable proximity to other bars/clubs and restaurants on south beach it wasn't too difficult to deal with.

The Palms South Beach was very exotic and intimate, we came down for our 17th anniversary and my wife's birthday. The room was immaculate with a view to die for. The staff was courteous and pleasant. Seemed to enjoy making your stay memorable. The drinks and food at the hotel were pricey, but good, try the (seafood tappas). Didn't care much for the 18% gratuity on food and drinks for a party of two. The palm tree hut's and the hammocks were a nice touch.You can lay on the beach and have drinks. The people on the beach are very beautiful and friendly. If there's any exotic place you want to be The Palms South Beach Hotel is the place.

good location, nice place, the service is not too good, the ballet parking service is too bad and expensive, nice rooms, beautifull pool, nice front desk people. the tv and the internet service in the room was not working good. in general we had a good experience.

Great placeLoved the palms. so fresh and luxurios. We loved every minute of our stay. Big rooms, great view from the large windows. We had complimentary Thai Chi on the beach one morning its was great! Beach was lovely. The staff never took our order on the beach though... we waitet over 1 hour and gave up. Expensive drinks in the bar - but the beach bar had a happy hour. Nice pool area.

Great atmosphere. Room was not ready at check-in--we were given a handicapped-accessible room with a strange shower. On top of the steep price of this hotel, we were charged "daily hotel fees" for "free" internet, newspapers and use of the pool. Ridiculous for a 4-star hotel. Also not within comfortable walking distance of shopping or eating.

I love the outside area by the pool. The hotel is north of all the South Beach action. Most likely will have to take a taxi everywhere.

Staying at The Palms was a great experience. I have no complaints what so ever. The customer service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely stay there again. They cater to your every need. The food is a bit costly, but good.

Recently spent 4 wonderful vacation days at the Palms with my grown son and his girlfriend. We arrived late after an airline delay and had called the hotel to advise them of late arrival. No problem! We were courteously treated by the check-in clerk who 5 minutes later called to make sure everything was allright. The room with an ocean view was lovely and the whole hotel was tastefully decorated in the Miami design style. The beach was fabulous, the food in the dining room very good if a bit pricey. The best thing about this hotel is the plentiful and attentive staff who do everything to make sure guests leave the hotel with the feeling of having had a positive experience. Any minor irritations are ignored when you are treated so well. Only drawback was the pool which was a bit warm and salty. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

The Palms does have a great location and a nice beach, but that's it. The hotel we SO NOISY...making it imposible to sleep after 7am and the expensive vallet (23 bucks/day) wrecked our rental car! We won't stay here again. would rather pay more money have stay at a PROPER place. NOT worth it!

my stay at the Palms was very relaxing and comfortable as well as exotic. my boyfriend and i had a beautiful time laying on the beach and on the hammocks catching the ocean breeze. its worth it.

Lovely and spacious public spaces, great service, wonderful heated out door salt water pool, and very nice marble bathroom. The queen size beds were too small for two adults; they were really "full" size, too small for 2 average people. Loved it overall. My son and I swam under a full moon in the salt water pool with the music of a live swing band coming from a terrace where a 50th anniversary party was being held. Room was clean and comfy, except the queen beds are very small. Great location on the north end of South Beach.

"The hotel was nothing like the photos or description. The rooms were extremely small & the walls were very thin. We could hear everything! There were no toiletry kits at the reception desk - the pool was very small & looked nothing like the photos. Also, the surrounding area was very run down. The only positive was that the staff was very pleasant"
