The Strand Hotel felt like I was living in my own apartment and the halls & elevator smelled so good. The staff were very friendly & professional.. they were available when immediate assistance was needed. I loved the mini kitchen because we saved a lot of money by eating leftovers for lunch in the hotel. The location was PERFECT, just a few steps from the Versace Mansion and the beach. The walls are sound proof so you can't hear much of the loud music from Ocean Drive. They use comfortable Broucher Brother's beach chairs with towels. There was so much to do around that area that I didn't get to check out the pool on the roof. If I ever come back to Miami, I would definately stay at The Strand again. In my opinion, the best, affordable hotel which everything you need!!

The hotel service was very good. However, the $12.50 surcharge is absurd for use of a towel and maidservice which should be included in the cost of the hotel.

The Strand was very comfortable. It was in a great location. It was very close to the beach, lots of restaurants, and great shopping. I would definitely stay there again.

Found it difficult to find a s the hotel address was 1052 and it is set over various numbers from 1024! Once found this hotel was brillant.

This was a great hotel! I'd recommend it to anyone. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean. The amenties were are more than plenty. The hotel was a great location. We didn't need a rental car. We were right in the middle of everything! The beach was directly across the street. The pool was very clean and the view was amazing! This was my first time and I did not regret the decision to stay at The Strand!

THe room was fantastic with a little kitchenette, super roomy, ultra modern and beautiful. The front desk was friendly, however did not come through on the early check-in as was confirmed the day before, leaving us to wait for 5 hours with no lobby in which to rest. They checked our luggage for us while we waited and explored the city, but not having somewhere to chill away from the stifling Miami heat was a bit of a turn-off. Otherwise the stay was fantastic, room was fabulous, a second from the beach, and the music, while at times loud, was not bothersome, as we were in South Beach to Party anyways. Thanks Strand!!!

Me and my girlfriend traveled to Miami from Chicago and we had a great time at The Strand! We stayed for 5 nights and we got a chance to check out all the amenities. The hotel is in a great location right in front of the beach and in the middle of everthing. We stayed in a one bedroom with ocean view! The pros were that the room was very nice and modern, granite and stainless kitchen, silverware plates and everything. Also the bathrooom was beautiful with a tub in the middle of the room, two flat screens and was it has the feel of a small condo and everything was clean. Staff was very friendly and did their best to make us feel comfortable. The rooftop pool was great, overlooking the beach and it has great lounging areas, almost like beds around the pool. Not really busy up there so you do get some privacy. The only con that I can think of is that they actually have 3 separate buildings and they only advertise the one in the pictures. So if you book the one bedroom with ocean view you are not going to be in the one with the balconies but in on of the other ones just north of that one. The rooms are great but no balconies and small windows, which kind of defeatsthe porpouse of having an ocean view. We would definatly stay there again and I would recommend to friends. A great vaule and a lot more than you would expect from the average hotel!

The is an exclusive Hotel....If you don't know about The Strand you wouldn't find it! It's really nice! I would stay there again on my next visit to MAMI! The beds are VERY comfortable!

It's in a great location, in the middle of chaos. It's very convenient if you like to walk and do not want to rent a car. If you are the type who goes to bed at 10pm forget staying here.I was given a room with a bed, a stained futon-type couch, stained carpet, and very little closet space. If you are the type that overpacks bring extra hangers. The Strand consists of 3 buildings. After I asked for another room, they put me in the Tropical 201. Great view, but again, no balcony. It came equipped with a mini kitchen, which was exellent for in-house breakfast and lunch, and keeping bottles of water cold. 201 also had two closets and a bigger couch with a pull-out bed. We had to ask for extra pillow, blankets, and sheets. The bed was very comfortable, but the pull-out needs extra padding. The roof top pool (3ft deep) is in another building next door and the burger place downstairs has excellent burgers! The convenience of The Strand Hotel 6 blocks up (take a left out of the hotel) is Lincoln Road Mall. This was convenient for shopping, eating, and having coffee or dessert. South Collins was another conveniently close location for shopping. I found Starbucks on the corner of 12th and Collins (so close!) for those mornings that needed an extra kick. Also, volleyball is about 5-6 blocks down (take a right out of the hotel).We indulged at Toni's Sushi (Washington), Grillfish (Collins), Sushi Samba and Pascha's(Lincoln Road)-all awesome!. Segafreddo (Lincoln Road)was our cafe of choice-very cute servers and a great drink/coffee menu. The staff was great. Our maid was also very sweet and made sure we got everything we asked for. I will be visiting again!

Roof top pool and sun deck is great - heated - adequate size. Front of building drops away so you all you see is the park and beach beyond. Room toward rear of building was quiet and still had ocean view. The staff was friendly and efficient. Extra $12 resort fee (suprise!) covered chairs, cushions and umbrella on beach - worth it.

the rooms were nice however the beds were flr platform beds which i am not use to and the pillows were extra soft which was very uncomftable. my bathroom sink would stop up every time i brush my teeth. In all the hotel was fine for the two days i was there and the location and staff was great but will differently stay at another hotel for my next trip to miami
