"We've stayed here twice but will probably book at the Ritz for this year's diving trip.The food could use a little improvement but overall we were happy with the regular restaurant. The ""fine"" dining restaurant required that I wore something other than flip-flop style high-heels; they were a higher fashion type and I was also wearing a dress, but the people were staunch about their regulations. Big disappointment. We never got to try the fine dining so I can't comment on that food. We ventured out to the local businesses instead who were happy to take our vacation cash."

we didn't get the type of room we had reserved at time of booking and paid for at time of booking. Hotel was not very clean and not well kept up. Price was very high for what you got. Not good value at all. Beach was great. No cross walk to get you to the other side of the highway where there were restaurants. Other hotels had walkways / bridges over the highway.

My sister and I stayed in the Westin last September 2008 and the area was so quiet. I believe it was off season and it was MARVELOUS to have so much beach to ourselves. Everything was magnificent, from the room service, the bar, the pool, the drinks (and the dedicated drink service)... it was wonderful. The car rental service inside the hotel was very convienent. Also it was a breeze to schedule any activity thru the phone. The room was beautiful even if we were facing the parking lot. Very clean. The balcony was a nice touch. And the beds...pure heaven. I would definately stay again if I had a few bucks to burn. It was a teeny bit overpriced.

The Westin turned out to be a really great place to stay. When we got to our room which was ""garden view"", we realized that we overlooked the parking lot and main road. I went downstairs and asked if there were any other true ""garden rooms"" and the woman at the desk was absolutely wonderful and gave a bottom floor room with garden and ocean view! The staff at the Westin could not have been any nicer. The beach seemed to be the nicest on the seven mile stretch and you could snorkel right there! We truly had a wonderful time and look forward to going back one day!

"Our stay at Westin Casuarina in June was simply great. The hotel's beach and pool area are beautiful beyond belief. The hotel has a 4star restaurant on premises with tables facing onto the beach. It's a great place to enjoy a sunset dinner. The serice is impecable and friendly. Lobby bar area has a variety of enjoyable entertains -- light jazz, classical violin, and Caribbean music. Rooms were first class, as expected from a Westin. Truly a great hotel."

Overall, we were dissatisfied with the hotel. We had read some great reviews & were really excited about going, but when we got there, we were disappointed. Our first room, which was supposed to be partial ocean view, was somewhat dirty (stuff splattered on the mirrors) and dingy. Our view consisted of looking out onto the hot tub which was surrounded with "caution" tape & a bucket of chlorine. You could see the ocean if you stood on your tiptoes in the corner of the patio door. Our first evening, we were looking forward to sitting out on our patio & watching a storm roll in, however, there was a couple in the hot tub 20 feet away...awkward. The next day the hotel graciously moved us to the second floor which had a much better view of the ocean, but was still not that clean. The decor seemed outdated & the room was in need of some repair (the carpet was separated from the bathroom tile, leaving a gap that hurt if you accidentally stepped on it, our bathroom wall had brown stuff splattered on it, and the towel rack was oxidized.) All little things that could have easily been taken care of & would have made the room a little nicer.
