Gorgeous hotel in a very central location; very luxurious. No dislikes. Everything about the hotel was top rate. There was a wonderful gym, and a nearby park great for an afternoon run. There were several great museums within a block or two of the hotel, lots of great restaurants and squares, and plenty of great shopping.

Concierge excellent. Bad job with the car. They took more halt an hour to bring the car after the check out.

Amazed at: quality of the rooms; friendly staff; restaurant had best service out of anywhere we stayed in Europe for fine dining with exceptional food. Front desk make check in and check out fast and practically painless. The food was exceptional and I didn't expect to receive such large portions. The exceptional coffee in the morning was over the top. Incredible experience that we want to repeat.

We are worldwide travelers and we have been to a lot of five-star hotels, and this hotel was well located, tastefully decorated, a good buffet breakfast was included in the price, and we felt like we got our money's worth. They required our two children to stay in a separate room; which connected and worked out just fine;. The only drawback was the street noise at night, even on the fifth floor...we were even on the street opposite the Paseo del Prado. The Thyssen and the Prado are just opposite the hotel. The Westin Heavenly Bed is awesome!

I was here for 4 days on a short business trip with my daughter. From the reception to the concierge, everything was perfect. The neighborhood is the best in the city. You are within walking distance to everything. We were treated like we were important. The buffet was fabulous and the setting couldn't be more beautiful. The beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious. I would never stay anywhere else in Madrid. (if you are a SPG they will typically upgrade your room)

Everything about this hotel (except price, of course) was perfect. the public areas are unbelievably beautiful, the rooms are spacious and well-appointed, housekeeping is attentive and the service is sublime.

Regarding location, the Palace is in the most interesting part of town, across from the Prado and near the other major museums, the "downtown" part of Madrid is an easy walk away, the city's parks are an easy walk in the other direction, and the hotel borders on the old part of the city, which include the best restaurants, shops and clubs.

During our stay the hotel hosted a visiting American NBA team who were playing one evening on their tour entitled NBA Europe. Despite the potential for disruption typically caused by the press, PR types, and sports groupies who are always present at such spectacles, the hotel staff was able to control the entourage and maintain a serene sense of calm the entire time.

I would strongly recommend the Westin Palace to any business or tourist visitor to Madrid, and would definitely stay again.

Concierge team was fabulous-great dinner recommendations, etc. Cost of internet access - 17 Euros for in-room access... Great hotel, great location (near Prado museum and others). Definitely a five-star property. Would definitely stay there again.

The quality of the room, bed, pillows, and linens. The charge an outrageous amount for internet use and fro local calls. This hotel is elegant, very comfortable and in a great location for enjoying Madrid.
