The food was very well presented and cooked , let down a little by the English waitress (French Head waiter was super)Mini bar in the room would of been good, but the shower in the bathroom was the best I have ever had.Pool area very good. Reception staff more than helpfull.Great location in centre of town but still very little noise from traffic in the room.

Close to the centre of town but doesn't deserve the 4 stars. Poor choice of food for dinner. Breakfast was the worst I'd had at a hotel. Room was in a poor state with curtain track falling off the wall and light bulbs not working in the en suite and bedroom. Indifferent staff. A shame. I think this hotel caters for the business customer only

the room was in the middle of the hotel. It looked out via an internal window to the stairs and the gym. Had to close the curtains for privacy. Windows did not open room extremely hot. The room was well furnished as was the bathroom. No doubt other rooms would have been far better. Just a bad room and they were fully booked. Great central location

We stayed one night at a special reduced rate. Car parking easy. Pleasant welcome on arrival. Room was very comfortable though there were problems with intermittent loss of hot water to the shower. The breakfast was basic for a 4 star hotel. Several items on the hot buffet had run out. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening preferring to find somewhere with a little more atmosphere. The hotel was very convenient for exploring the city centre.

My room was lacking a mirror and hot water. Nothing was done by hotel staff when I informed them. The gym and pool although small were well equipped.

room appeared by smell to be imediately above the kitchen ... not very pleasant and noisy. also carpet had not been hoovered as saw a golf tee on the floor and it wasn't mine as don't play!Bar had only limited range of drinks, particularly beer ... a shame as the town centre was desperately short of anywhere to go for a decent pint unless you under 30 and don't mind stand up bars and loud music

I was not impressed with the restraurant, the waiter was not very friendly, the food was ok but I was disappointed. We were served stale sultana bread? with oil and balsamic vinegar and olives (from brine) which I thought was inappropriate, a simple fresh bread roll would have been far better. I was told the only booking available for dinner in the restaurant was 7.00 and it was empty! A little over priced, a meal out at a good restaurant in Worcester town centre would have been a much better option. The hotel itself was impressive however, the room was clean and of a very good standard.I would recommend the hotel, but not the restaurant.

Other FacilitiesOverall it was ok. We were very disappointed the jaccuzi was not accessible after 8pm on the night arrived (at about 8.10pm). This was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but there was nothing in the facilities page on your website indicating the hours. Other nights it was open till 10pm.

This hotel is in a great position in the centre of Worcester ,the building is great and the rooms comfortable. However, there is a real sense that attention to detail is lacking. On arrival there was no receptionist at the desk - which made me wonder about the security implications of anyone walking in and gettting to the lifts unobserved by staff. There is no pass door to the gym ,guests have to go outside and round to use the gym sauna etc this caught me unawares and without a tracksuit ! The Gym is well equipted , could be cleaner and I'm yet to received the promised towel. At breakfast I was given a dirty table at the back facing the wall , by a fairly surly waiter . I could n't help feeing that there was a overall poor customer service training or awareness. All of these minor incidents made one question the value for money ,which is a shame because it has all the potential and physical attributes of a great hotel.

Whitehouse Hotel WorcesterFrankly very disappointing especially when having a weekend break - first in ages and then paying £260 for the rooms for the one night.Leisure facilities were not functioning due to chlorine overload - only reason we booked this hotel and decided to pay the extra.Reception and management were unhelpful with no monetary reimbursement offered - could "cancel booking" (having arrived with family in tow) or "we could use the facilties if we liked and get burnt".Breakfast was dull and greasy. Coffee served in a plastic jug - one for all.Hairs in bath from previous occupant.Calling room service seemed an inconvenience. They had to call back because they couldn't remember what had been asked for.Bill was incorrect which took some 20 mins to resolve - 2 wrong receipts for a different room had been appended. 2 dinners charged for the evening we arrived plus another bar drinks bill. This should have been simple to resolve given another room number was written on the receipts.

A very well-run hotel in an ideal City Centre location with impressively efficient staff. The only weakness appears to be the lack of maintenance in the swimming-pool and changing room areas.

First thing if mobile access is important to you check first. When I arrived the original room did not have a signal and it states in the info that this can be an issue. This was very important to me for various reasons. However the staff were very helpful and changed my room.... which as well as not having a signal was very claustrophobic just big enough for the double bed and looked over a flat roof. The new room. Little balcony which is nice. Cleanliness- stain behind the bedside table looked as if someone had spilt a drink. Stain on seat small stains on the coverlet. There was black mildew in the shower. Also a problem with the plumbing which gave an airlock howl for approx 4 mins each time I flushed the toilet. The shower was fixed at a rigid left hand angle so that I could not get a comfortable shower not what I expect from a so called 3 Star hotel. The room was cold and the quilt not warm enough (even with my own hot water bottle I was still cold) - again the staff were excellent and brought me a 2nd quilt very quickly and fixed the radiator. Very helpful and cheerfulBreakfast was included in the rate and I took advantage of the service of a continental breakfast in my room (you complete the order and leave on your door) – time is allocated in 15 minute slots. However it was 45 minutes late. Tea or Coffee Good Yoghurt Soggy Croissant, Orange Juice, Cornflakes and Milk Soggy toast. (I like cold toast but it needs to be served in a toast rack)Separate Butter and spread, Small Raspberry Danish, small pots of apricot & black current jam. Excellent value but spoilt by the soggy toast and croissant.Good Wardrobe space. Includes your own safe which is a good idea. Internet access extra but available, £1 Connection fee for 0800 tel no’s and some other numbers. Only one double electric socket which is not enough to use laptop, kettle phone charger and other necessities of the 21st Century. Small Kettle with coffee tea milk and plain BiscuitsTelevision only had terrestri

City BreakWe found the hotel itself a little shabby, but the staff were very good. (Continental) breakfast was adequate but not particularly inspiring. We had a very good meal in the restaurant. The hotel is well situated in the city, handy for attractions, restaurants, shops and the cinema. There is a sizeable free hotel car park.

Good value for moneyWe only had the breakfast, but it was fine (not excellent, a little overcooked). The room was okay if a bit dark, but the bed was huge, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was fine, the tub was a little narrow but the shower had plenty of power to it. Only slight question mark was that they keep the second set of towels in the wardrobe - I can't help but wonder why they don't put them out in the bathroom, as that's where you're going to use them (or most of us anyway!). Also, the hairdryer was the usual useless standard issue, and difficult to get to reach to the far side of your head as the cord was so taut. All in all a good hotel though and I would definitely recommend it so long as you're not expecting 5-star luxury.

The hotel is very central and so great if you dont want to have to use the car, with shops and eating places all around. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the pool and sauna were great for relaxing in after a hard days shopping. The breakfast is buffet style and offers a geat variety of well presented options, service was good even though on the Sunday morning the breakfast room was very busy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

very positive: Staff incredibly helpful and polite, excutive room would not be worth the extra money (we were upgraded for free due to wedding party) Breakfast was very good, with wide range of choices, and again very helpful staff. Not so good(but tolerable): tiles in bathroom could do with a good scrub, the kitchen extractor woke me at 7.30!

A fair hotel with an expensive price tag.I paid for an executive room for one night. The accomodation was of a good standard but for it's price tag definately not worth it. The room safe didn't work, the bathroom was small and in order to get the lights to work I had to have all the light switches on as there was no way of working out how the lights worked. My stay co-incided with the start of british summer time beginning which meant the clock went forwards, no mention was made of this at check in and no allowances were made for those who would be unaware of this come breakfast in the morning and I was turned away hungry. When I visited the spa/pool area, the jacuzzi when switched on foamed profusely and the chemical/ph balance in the pool was seriously uneven, this left me with sore eyes, itchy skin and very dry hair.

May Bank Holiday stay in WorcesterThe Hotel was easy to find using the instructions provided / SatNav and on site parking was available and perfectly adequate. The hotel staff were very pleasant and professional. The lower mark for the room was purely due to the Air Conditioning not working as there was an issue with the system. A letter of explanation was in the room when we arrived. We enjoyed use of the gym and pool facilities which were very nice and not too busy.If you are a light sleeper, you might want a room at the back of the hotel as the road at the front seemed to get busy quite early in the morning.

Worcester Music FestivalMy younger daughter 11yrs was playing at the Music Festival. My 16yr old daughter and I were there to support her. The hotel staff were both unfailingly friendly, motivated and efficient (very unusual these days!). Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and ready when we arrived - rushing as usual, and late (as usual!). The only drawback was the 'squeakiness' of the floorboards above us and the corridors when we were trying to sleep, but you can't do much about that in such an old building. Would definitely use the hotel again should we be in Worcester and would recommend it to other people.

On arrival the staff were very polite and the enterance to the hotel gave a good impression however the room was simular to a £30 a night hotel . The top bed cover was stained although the sheets were clean. The spa was the worst I have ever seen, I wouldn't was a dog in the pool or the jacuzzi in fear of it getting ill. The changing rooms had locker doors missing and the showers were dirty in the gents, in the ladies I was told that there was an old hairbrush that someone had left and also dirty showers. The staff of the spa were sat chatting and didn't really seem interested in work, they much prefered eyeing up the girl I was with. The breakfast was rubbish poor quality and over cooked. Not for me thanks
