Decor, cleanliness and comfy beds. No restaurant, no pool, no business center, no vending machines and difficult access to car. Beautiful property and very clean. Comfortable bed and quiet room.

Great hotel in a good location. I was quite unhappy with the hotel's Internet provider, wayport Internet. Wayport's outgoing spam filter created extreme problems with business email. This is a great hotel for families, couples and business people. It is centrally located in the heart of downtown Galveston. Despite the downtown location, the hotel is just minutes from Galveston's beachfront.

Live entertainment (piano player) in the lobby was special. Front desk never had change of large bills. Needed to tip valet parking attendant. Old time ambience with thoroughly modern amenities.

Room decor. Slow valet service, although they hustled. Not enough workers. This hotel is great for business travelers. For the family, it has no pool, but the Wyndham Galvez accepts Tremont guests. This is a slight inconvenience.

Very modern decor and comfortable room, fluffy towels in the chic black and white bathroom. Our 15 yr. granddaughter was definitely impressed. We enjoyed the piano player in the ball one evening. Great margueritas! Convenient valet parking with speedy and courteous attendants. It was fun staying in the older part of Galveston. Enjoyed Moody Gardens and many other tourist attractions.

Staying at the Tremont House was such a great experience for my husband and I. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff was very friendly through our whole stay. I loved the d?cor, especially the high ceilings; it truly felt like an historical environment. We ate the hotels restaurant, Merchant Prince, and would definitely recommend trying it. We stayed for a small weekend getaway and would go back again if we had the chance. It was ideal for a relaxing weekend away.

We stayed for 2 nights during Spring Break and it was GREAT!. The hotel is beautiful and the location is Perfect. We only needed our van to visit Moody Gardens and Schilitterbahn. Restaurants, shopping and the cruise pier are within walking distance. We walked to dinner every night. The rooms were so spacious. We had two rooms for 3 adults and 2 children. It was very comfortable. I would stay there again!

Beautiful room, excellent staff. Was not told there was a 10 per day parking charge, noise from resturant was a bit loud at night when trying to sleep.

Wife and I were looking for a comfortable, affordable hotel to stay in with our two teen-aged children. Nothing is more than 10 minutes away. Beautiful, large rooms. ALL staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Curbside did flood temporarily during summer downpoar, but not the hotel's fault. A great alternative to the enormous chain hotels on the seawall. Especially well-located for cruise departures, shopping on the Strand, etc.

It was very unique in that it was historic. Valet was a problem at night. Tremont is a fantastic place to stay and I will certainly return on my next.

The rooms were amazing. The location was less than a block from the historical strand. If you are looking for night life, this is not the place to go. It seems that everything in Galveston closes at 10. It exceeded my expectations. This is one of the first hotels in Galveston that dates back 100 years. Their were horse drawn carriages in the front of the hotel, walking distance to everything that you would need or want, except the beach. If you are looking for the beach, try Hotel Galvez.

Historic charm - if you like that. Didn't get the room I was expecting. Before arriving I called to ask for a king in which the hotel staff guaranteed I would get. I arrived to find out I was not getting that room rather a lower quality room. My husband & I never get the chance to get away without our kids. We finally got the chance & wanted to stay on the beach. Most of the hotels are on the beach. We had to a taxi to go to the sea wall because the hotel couldn't provide us with a shuttle which in the end cost us more money. This hotel is good for people wanting to see the historic, Downtown part of Galveston. You should note these qualities when people request a hotel.

The ambiance, the beauty of staying in an "old" hotel. No swimming pool, had to pay to park. This is a beautiful hotel and I recommend it to everyone.

It was a very beautiful hotel. Only valet parking which was add. 12.00 per day plus tax. There was no shuttle service as described on the hotel site to any where, we had to drive a few miles to a sister hotel to use the pool, we were charged an additional 12 per day plus tax for valet parking and we had to go outside the hotel to smoke.

Gorgeous high ceilings, wood floors, and area rugs in rooms. Stately draperies. Nothing to dislike. Upscale looks, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere consistent with the island mentality. Shopping on the Strand a block away, The Wharf and famous sailing ship Elyssa two blocks, and the beach is only a trolley ride away. Nothing that you want to see in Galveston is over a two minute drive. Super!

Space, location. The bed was firmer than I am used to. The AC was not cold enough for me at night. The hotel was very comfortable. I would have enjoyed spending another day. The rooftop Terrance was great. I enjoyed dining the lobby dining room. The food was very good. I would come back again. The next time I would like a king-sized bed.

It is a beautiful historic hotel, not your average hotel room. Nothing. It was my first time to stay at this hotel. It was a girlfriend's get away and it was perfect. Not your ordinary hotel room, very nice and roomy and also had charm. Would recommend highly for its charming atmosphere.

It's location in the historic district and close to shops and food. Beautiful hotel located in Galveston's historic strand. The location is convenient away from the crowded boardwalk and traffic minutes away from various restaurants and shops.
