having to settle bill have breakfast pack and vacate room before 9am was obviously too much of a rush when staying on holiday.Apart from that the hotel was very good especially for the price paid.

It's a long walk from the carpark, especially when it's late at night and the carpark lights aren't working. The turret room I had (64) was at the top of a narrow circular staircase, had a canvas tarpaulin for curtains which didn't cover the windows sufficiently, allowing road noise in; the bathroom basin tap dripped all night; and the alarm call booked with Reception didn't work, until fifteen minutes later, hauling me out of the shower. Twice. The internet connection wasn't working -, the unfortunate before me had written on a comment form, which had been left in the room - and then someone had forgotten to raise the carpark barrier in the morning, meaning another long walk back to Reception. The response from them when all these irritants were pointed out was either "OK" or just a smile, no apology. Pity really, as I was scoping it out for a 100+ conference....

Accomodation basic but sufficient. rooms are not in the coutrny house - annex to which you need to walk outside to. Otherwise fine

great deal great locationWe stayed here as a last minute option after a cottage we had booked turned out to be filthy! WE all enjoyed the stay and the facilities that were available to us.The room that my husband and I stayed in was a little tired but our teens room was renovated and very nice.Staff were fantastic!

Room fine - minor niggle about the foodThe room was fine. The staff were very helpful. The facilities of the centre were good. My only niggle was the choice of food in the restaurant. The quality was fine but there was a very small choice on the menu (only 4 main courses). I thought that the price of the table d'hote was a little high, given the limited choice.I would happily stay again but I'd take the car so I can explore more.
