My bf and i were treated like QUEEN AND KING YES NOT LIKE PRINCESS OR A PRINCE. it was a great trip the buffet food was ok i didn't try out any of resturant we went outside of the restort it really gives a person a true taste of the culture . i suggest u ask the cab driver where the local eats and where the best food is. Also you can ngotiate prices with cab driver also places you buy clothes or gifts . i suggest if you do go outside the restort just be aware ur surrounding and con arisit go in the daytime if you dont speak spanish . the beach is lovely and the pool too. make sure you do most of activites such water ski and etc Also carry lots of 1 dollar bill if you take care fo them they will take care of you but even if you dont give tips they still do but i think it nice to give back to a poor country . the room was great i felt like i was in my own apartment but i was in a timeshare so i don't know if that was the same for other ppl who wasn't in one but totally worth it . it like your own house with a stove and laundry and dryer and cable . take my word it was amazing
